  • Unless you sit back and don’t collect the energy from your kills far across the map.
  • Don’t help with taps.
  • Put a cryo on your locker.
  • Say thanks randomly.
  • Moving barriers without permission.

You are not a true Cog Gear …

  • Unless you use your revive ultimate on yourself.
  • Use your revive ultimate when a team mate is next to you to revive you.
  • Refuses to use lancer damage card.

You are not a true Jack …

  • Unless you hijack a scion that JD killed with a hair line of health left.
  • Hijack when team is down.
  • Forge when team is down.
  • Zap instead of forging.
  • Zap instead when team is down.
  • Leave by wave 20 after the host/engineer spent all the money on a level 4 forge for you.

You are not a true Kait …

  • Unless using a locker is beneath you.
  • Doesn’t collect energy.
  • Doesn’t use an overkill when it is free on the floor or given to you.
  • Uses cloak over an overkill when executions are borked.

You are not a true JD …

  • Unless you refuse to get GL.
  • Don’t play aggressive.
  • Don’t use a locker and take all the amo boxes.
  • Don’t respawn for amo.
  • Ignore all guardians and sentinels and lets the team die.
  • Moving barriers without permission.

You are not a true Marcus …

  • Unless you refuse to deposit and perk up before a base is set.
  • Buys a retro without permission or refusing to swop with a team mate.
  • Buys barriers without permission, knowing full well those barriers are weak asf.
  • Refuse to help with taps and collect energy.

You are not a true Clayton …

  • Unless you refuse to deposit and perk up before a base is set.
  • Buy a mulcher before your perk up.
  • Buy a mulcher without waiting for at least several scions.
  • Don’t ask permission to buy or perk.
  • Moving barriers without permission.
  • Demand a locker before a JD locker or a basic base is established.

You are not a true Lizzie…

  • Unless you refuse to play aggressive.
  • Has bleeding mulcher off.
  • Has cold finish off.
  • Ignores guardians, bosses and sentinels.
  • Buys barriers without asking.
  • Rarely uses silverback ultimate.
    *** Demand a locker before a JD locker or a basic base is established.**

You are not a true Keegan …

  • Unless you refuse to use hammerburst before salvo’s and lockers.
  • Using hammerburst when you have a locker full of gl’s and salvo’s instead.

You are not a true Del …

  • Unless you endlessly buy barriers and decoys for no reason. More barriers than in Masters.

  • Keep spending all the money instead of repairing/refilling what you have.

  • Put barriers close to the team so the swarm is in your face ready to clip you down.

  • Put barriers in random positions that serve no purpose.

  • Put turrets in places that kill nothing nor offer any form of flank support.

  • Join a game when there is a Baird and start building and spending money.

You are not a true Baird …

  • Unless you spend all the money for no real reason. Just spend.
  • Refuse to use bleed on.
  • Refuse to use precision repairs to maintain base.
  • Allow barriers to die and just buy new barriers instead.
  • Spam DR1 ultimate for no real reason.
  • Put barriers in places that do nothing.
  • Put turrets in places that kill nothing nor offer any form of flank support.
  • Join a game when there is a Del and start building and spending money.

You are not a true Cole…

  • Unless you join a game higher than Insane.
  • Use your dash and get downed/dies.
  • Buys weapons from the fabricator without asking permission.
  • Uses other people lockers.
  • Spams Cole’s reactions.

Forgot to include under JD:
Not a real JD unless you cry to the game host or engineer to buy you like 47 weapon lockers…one for GLs, one for Salvos, one for Dropshots and one for Booms lol. Some JDs are so entitled

Me too. I want them to let me play my level 1 Dell, Sara Connor or Grace and carry me for 50 waves while I drink beer and spam expressions. I’ll help where I can but it’s only easy if we win.

You are not a true Kait if you’re not go DBNO for 10times a Wave while never using Cloak to kill.

I don’t believe people really understand what makes you a true Marcus character.

You are not a true Marcus unless you

  • say “skip” after every wave
  • Throw smoke grenades to block teammates lines of sight
  • Make sure to never allow teammates to utilize your Ultimate
  • chase down every enemy on the map, making sure that no one else will ever get kills or contribute in any meaningful way

Let me add some things for Lizzie…

You’re not a true Lizzie if you :

  • Don’t build or refuse to build barriers for the engineer even when barrier effects have been patched and they still want you to when you explain ;
  • Don’t realize how useful The Hammer is and instead insist on spamming Salvos or Tri-Shots ;
  • Don’t stop the Clayton, JD and Kait on your team from failing spectacularly and don’t have to insist for them to build their own lockers instead of trying to share yours when there is no engineer and enough power for them to make their own locker because they are not great players ;
  • Don’t get stuck in the Silverback at least once per match because the game is a buggy mess and forces you back into the machine without you pressing any button inputs and then does not let you get out again.

While not serious in this post, those are indeed experiences I have had in the game playing Lizzie.

You’re not a true Gears of War character unless you can ruck 80 lbs. of armor up a mountain, in moon boots, with an end-heavy rifle that only has a stock so you can pull-start its chainsaw an instant quicker.

And if you can’t pull that chainsaw through a monster’s clavicle, pectorals, back muscles, spine, and vital organs *all in under 1.5 seconds… You ain’t no Gear.

Bonus points if you can carry a second big ■■■ weapon on your back, and you have the flexibility to use it, crouch walk in cover, and run with your back straight while your knees are bent at 45 degree angles.

Wait, this thread is for disparaging players who aren’t serious at Horde/Escape, but want to try Horde/Escape anyway.

I thought it was merely a joke thread at the inflexibility of a lot of players who go into high difficulty matches. Or something.

If the character cant freeze or stun at ranges just shouldnt be in horde. :slight_smile:
