Ektope never threw the method out. In fact he pleaded with me not to, and I did it anyways.
I will shamelessly admit I put it out there so it would get fixed. I don’t want people catching up.
@anon32088142 Will you be running horde tonight? I want to practice playing with some horde veterans to improve my game. I have a level 17 Jack and level 18 Keegan for high level runs.
He seemed to kinda want it fixed to have a laugh at everyone raging that it got fixed. So eh… maybe he did want it to get known eventually, although not saying it.
But it’s not really doing much to go into this further since it’s now fixed anyway.

These two hid away from the world for months mindlessly grinding against bots using an exploit just so he could post his pic showing his fake wings. Hope it was worth it, but sadly, I know it wasnt.

You posted this so it would get patched and no one else could do it. YOU NEW IT WOULD HAPPEN. I Think TC should look at your stats an put you at the proper reup . And I think i will make a post about exploits, bragging, getting them pached so only 2 can benefit.

A world’s first, in and of itself, has no value. The nature of the underlying activity decides what value, if any, there is.
Devoting the entirety of one’s life over several months to a videogame, to one as poor as Gears 5, to grinding a dull strat in a video game as poor as Gears 5…it’s more Bridget Driscoll than Wright brothers. Just saying.

Its like when you “discover” a really great band that no one knows about yet…you want that band to stay “your band”…dont want anybody else listening to that band or wearing t-shirts of that band…cause its your band. Hence maybe why the exploit was divulged. Don’t want anybody else going to “my bands show”.

His defense will be that he was just trying to help everybody else, but I have a sneaking suspicion he just wanted to bring attention to it so it got patched ASAP so that him and Ektope and whoever else is in their little posse can enjoy being the only 50 Re-Ups for a good long while. - this is a quote from a thead that was calling me out.

I just did it to be cutthroat. There’s no other reason lol, well except maybe that I tend to be a white-hat for these sorts of loopholes, but this was special. I did it this way just to watch the salt flow.

Frankly, I found it, and I was at liberty with what to do with the information as the original discoverer. It’s fair game if I choose to tell the devs, and the community at the same time.
In fact you should all be happy I put it out to the community.
I have a history of finding developer missed loopholes, and grinding the grind to the top quickly. Usually I simply tell the devs privately about the loopholes once I am done.
In any case. All I can say is - GG, devs at TC.
