Ummm no I don’t see anything wrong you don’t have to buy it. There are shirts in designer stores that cost $400. That’s as much as a game system. Do I think that’s ridiculous sure but guess what I don’t have to buy that shirt.

Comparing digital items to physical is not a good comparison. Usually high priced items are made with higher quality stuff. Also this can be done because theres a competitive market for it. Theres no competitive market for this kind of stuff.
There’s a competitive market with other games this isn’t the only one with micro transactions.

This isn’t a competitive market. I can’t buy skins for Gears 5 from anywhere else. The shirt analogy with microtransactions only works if there aren’t any other shirts being sold.
