Well I’m Legend 33, so not that high BUT this has been achieved solely with Dailies, without spending iron.
I generally drop into private Horde, knock them out and that is It for the day. I may play One or two games of ranked Hill, but I dislike Gears 5 gameplay and as such I suck at it.
That’s some dedication right there. I personally don’t enjoy Versus much anymore most days, so I usually stay out of it. Horde too, since I simply can’t stand it… never did, never will. I only play it for achievements and to get my dailies done faster.
I only focus on dailies and TOD medals because of the Gears Coins… I’m stockpiling them as much as possible so I can upgrade cards if/when needed. I don’t care much for the stuff on the store, so my Iron is spent solely on Boost (and that Boost is only good for double stars and double character XP since I’m max level right now), and my Gears Coins solely on Cards.
As far as other games go, I’m probably going to finally play some of my huge backlog these next few weeks. Hopefully no new achievements until Operation 5, and if we’re lucky, not until Operation 6 (although that’s probably wishful thinking at this point 
)

Turned off the aim assist one day because it caused some jittery reticule tracking in versus. Went into horde as fahz with it off, and it’s night and day on the headshots - real ego checker there. Super helpful that toggle is - at least with Fahz snipes. Especially with the markza.

Re-rolls increase in steps of 10, right? Is there a cap or could you end up with like 1k-Iron for a single-reroll?
Increase by 10, cap at 50.
I’ve been re-rolling the Free, 10, 20, 30, and 40 rolls every day, and along with the four standard dailies, I’m completing 9 dailies per day for 100 iron total.
The rest of my stars each day come from Time Bonus stars, with an occasional completion of a ToD Medal I have not completed yet (though those are quickly running out).
What’s the point in doing this? Gears coins? How much gears coins would you get per day from 9 challenges / 100 Iron spent?
Just gathering Gears Coins in case they put out some achievement that would be made easier by having said coins already in hand.
I’ve got two characters completely skill card maxed, but who knows what TC will do.
Plus, I have a bunch of iron left over from the big pack purchase that I don’t know what to do with… I don’t buy skins, sprays, or emotes (I think it is ALL overrated filler crap), so I figured I would just keep gathering coins.
As to your second question, it obviously depends on how many stars each objective is worth. But I haven’t even been paying attention. Mostly I’m just bored out of my mind with this game now and have made it a personal goal to reach the highest Legend possible.
After all Level 6 cards maxed, I went from broke to 72k+ gears coins, just doing dailies while playing another game. That’s way far more than enough, for whatever future class cards comes.
As for the 14k Iron, I’m not sure what I’d do with it except boost and if anything Iron-only appeared, not the ones that become available with gears coins after a week. They’ve really downvalued iron. I wouldn’t have bought excessive if I saw it coming.
