I’m thinking with my tour bugging out, and just getting back to legend ranks about a week ago, I’m probably at the equivalent of legend 350 in terms of stars earned. I’d say that’s not too shabby.

Whoa, you could upgrade three gold cards from level 5 to level 6 with all those earned GCs…

With the end of Operation 4 upon us, I present to you my final stopping point in Legend grinding:
In Operation 5, I don’t plan on spending any iron on rerolling daily objective, so it will be interesting to see how much of a difference it will be. Although, I didn’t start grinding the Tour in this Operation until about midway, because I didn’t even know about the Legend rank thing.

You demon! I’m going to end up at 190 tomorrow morning before OP5 starts. Spent 0 iron/money.
So, you spent 18x7x100=12600 iron to get there. 12500iron is a 100 bucks at the moment, not too bad.

Far from it. That is my end goal, but I sort of doubt I’ll ever reach it at this point.
Maxing cards via Gears Coins is simply unrealistic, and grinding for them is becoming ever so tedious, ESPECIALLY considering we don’t have scrapped duplicated coming yet.
I currently have all Green/Common cards maxed out, but that’s it. I have a spreadsheet that keeps up with everything that I was thinking about putting up on my Google Drive once OP5 drops and I can fill it out with the new stuff being added.
The math is a little off. I did indeed spend $100 on the 12,500 iron pack, but I also bought boost with some of that iron, and I didn’t spend the 100 iron every day for the full 18 weeks.

I just got the Cosmonaught like a week ago, so Im only like legend 1

Just this second hit legend 100. I didn’t do anything apart from free re-rolls and rarely targeted one by doing a co-op AI or private horde. I did it just playing the game. Although some times a lot of stars influenced my game mode choice and if it wasn’t for that win 5 Arcade matches and would never have found that mode which I love!
And just to add I think this is a great system. Finished the season on 101k coins 75k of that from legend progression. I’m not a skins person but that allows me to let my son choose what ones he wants for free. Thanks to the reward devs, this is so much better than what came before.

I’ll be using my free rerolls in OP5 to banish this, and the 3 win version, to the abyss
100% agree. Although, I do wish they would change the Legends to 1000 coins every 10 stars. Picking 12 stars and 750 coins just feels… random.
Or, better yet (and I know they won’t do this, but I would love it anyways) is to reward 100 coins for each star earned beyond General, rather than having to hit a certain number of stars to get a bucket of coins.
I had ‘complete FFA match’ and thought I’d give it a go, since losing wouldn’t matter. But when the matchmaking timer went over 3 mins, I already lost my patience and just re-rolled.

God I love it, especially the campy maps like blood-drive. You are forced to get kills to even buy a longshot to camp. It should go in ranked! I might play ranked for the first time ever then

Honestly i have 3 cards which i want to max out, dont care about anything else, and they are all Lizzy cards: bleeding mulcher, cold finish, and hammer…
Clayton’s torque bleed is an honerable mention…
Lizzy and Clay are my favorite Horde characters, that is all i plan on playing…
So i think i should be fine with just the regular rewards from regular play…
That’s what I call bad luck. I’m at 252 atm without any paid re-rolls.

My last day, today, was good. 5 x 6 star objectives so at Legend 215 as my final. There were days where I had single star objectives (2 with boost) and re-rolled whenever I got ‘Win Arcade matches’ as I hate that mode.
