Which gears is everyone playing?

I know by now a bunch of us left this horrible excuse for a gears game but if y’all are like me y’all still get that itch to play gears I was wondering which gears game do y’all go back and play when y’all get that itch I personally go back to 4 which in my opinion had the best multiplayer

I don’t care for multiplayer all that much anymore so I mostly go back to 2 or 3 and just enjoy my time there

I’m replaying through all the campaigns with my brother at the moment.

Only at Gears 1, but everything starts somewhere.

Guardian’s exile from ranked made me appreciate Horde mode, which is the only thing that keeps me coming back. However I have redownloaded all the Gears games on my Series X and intend to do coop playthroughs in the near future.

… except for Gears of War 4 and 5. I’ll probably never touch those again to be honest. That’s where TC has dropped the ball hardest IMO

Understandable gears 4 pvp is great tho and as much as I despise 5 the campaign is my favorite of the franchise

@MatchedPlains12 If you have Gamepass or have the game, i’d definetly recommend Gears 2. It has a good campaign, a not so good- but good- versus, and a basic Horde and it has great versus and horde maps. people still play it, so you can play horde and versus- unlike Gears 2006, nobody plays versus mode on there anymore- defenitly recommend it.

Already played all of the gears several times and own all of them digitally 2 was my favorite campaign until 5 but after recently watching a play through its a toss up for me but I agree gears 2 campaign is phenomenal
