Yo! There’s a Classic Horde game mode now, holy hek I like that inclusion.
where is the card “brutal claw” ?
Looks great wish I didn’t have to work tomorrow. Then it’s back to the grind to 20. Wish I could delete those Halo and Terminators from my list
Question, not sure if it was answered.
How do you get the character banners and Blood Sprays now ?
Class horde is gone now
I did a forum mentioning this, i checked the store and they are not there so my bet is they will bring them back at store items this op
Please TC, let us use Locust skins in PvE!
Ugh, probably for the best, it wasn’t available in private games anyways and there’s no way I was gonna play that mode with random players.
I have since been told since i mentioned it;
TC removed the Classic Horde Mode
because they are still working on it and will be brought back.
I take this as they accidentally released it by mistake. I bet it will be mentioned in the dev stream
Sorry for tagging you, dev streams are far too late for me in the uk, awesome job. Not a fan of the class separation but I’m sure I will get used to it. Every thing else looks fantastic.
Now if you could just add double cards to buying boost I’d have a reason to buy your glorious OP packs and Iron! Double character XP doesn’t reduce the grind. You just get to 18/20 faster, you still have to play as much for cards. I’m sure with 1.5 or double cards so many more people would buy boost!
Anyway, loving the update. Thanks
If I wasn’t such a conscientious employee I’d take a 3 day sickie to play this more!
Love thsi
Double skill cards with having boost would be WAY too OP. Boost just for Our XP for re-up i think is enough.
You would be getting cards glore on speed runs and stuff 20 skill cards on master. Its too much. You need 20 duplicates to get to level 6.
It would just speed up peoples progression drastically and its not needed. Whats the rush?
No one needs to get to level 20 in a day or a few weeks.
You would end up with all the classes at 20 all your skills cards at 6, all these duplicates you cannot do anything with and have no where left to aim atleast people who haven’t fully got their cards up or classes up have something to aim for. That goes once you have maxed everything.
I know someone who has a friend and is at re up 100 when they start to bring better or more rewards to re up that person will get nothing.
The Gears games have always wanted you to play and play hard and grind for the best. Doubling the amount of skill cards will just make it too easy.
The really good players i think are the ones who e.g, can run master solo horde or escape, do the campaign highest difficulty ironman with no jack. The players who are just good and don’t need a “boost” to help them get to 20, genuine players who are good at gears.
Double skill cards is asking for it to be easier and take less time to level up cards and classes and there is no rush.
If they wanted it to be easy they would have made all the new cards green cards, set the xp to 19 and 20 much lower.
It is better the way they have done it.
Like i said there is no rush.
I’ve been playing since the start of Operation 2, almost daily. I have one class maxed. Double cards wouldn’t be near as overpowered as you’re making it out to be. It would be VERY welcomed, in fact, by many.
You’re assuming you would get 20 of the same card on a single run. The RNG in this game is brutal. This would never happen.
It would be nice but i don’t think its needed. The double skill cards in these events they have done is good enough.
“Paduk the Nomad” with his 7 or 8 Epics and 2(?) Legendaries would like to argue with that.
No one will get him maxed in a reasonable amount of time without excessive Clock/Surge grinding or spending an excessive amount of money on Iron rerolls for coins.
Preach!
I just don’t think there is any rush lol
So I can bring new players to the game. As it stands cards and grinding character xp is a barrier to that. My son loves gears, plays on my account but won’t start his own because of the grind. Friends that played horde 1 and 2 that won’t touch this because they don’t want to play it 20 hours a week, just 2 or 3.
Not as a barrier to just playing the game they didn’t. You ground achievements and medals, you just turned up a played Horde 1 and 2. Had a few hours killing and chatting and a good fun time.
You don’t need to be anything to get to 20, the problem is they run boost weekends to level that up faster but it’s really of little use. It’s not a shortcut, ok games have grind but they often too have ways to shorten that grind by paying. So you want boost gone totally then? After all using boost to get to re-up 50 is the same as reducing the card grind. Do only the really good players get to re-up 50 without boost?
I’m glad that I have to hold the run button down at all times to perform tackles with the Cole class now. I guess that change was really needed after nearly 8 months of the class being out.
Like i said i just don’t think there is any rush.
