I believe the 600 ss isn’t so overwhelming popular as TC wants us to believe. The weapon tuning yes. The SS No. TC just doesn’t wanna upset a certain group. Just my opinion but one of the talking points I heard was 600 nerfs the wrap around and Up A which is totally flase. Even TC Jim was showing off the wrap wasn’t Nerf in the stream he was in.

Speaking as a maxed out Fahz I don’t see it really mattering too much, I’m assuming it was directed towards Escape so now Fahz probably can’t 1 shot Scions/DR-1’s like he used to, in terms of Horde he’ll probably still be able to 1 shot any drone type enemy but won’t be as strong against Scions (which he shouldn’t be in the first place)

kinda feel like the change was directed at me lol, my Fahz too strong :sweat_smile:

You mean since Op4. Marcus wasn’t that great until then, at least to my knowledge.

Yeah I agree with completely. I forgot to mention Escape’s part only, but it’s still a big nerf

I’m pretty sure they have left out the win bonus points from these notes. You’re right, mathematically it makes no sense on point gains even on wins for onyx and above.

Same approach as JD.Force people into a MORE-Mentality. More carpet-bombing / more kills for Marcus + less sharing.

Bastions are still bugged? Is it just in regular lobbies?because whenever I setup one and they spawn they still defend enemies

So Fahz, Cole and Marcus are the losers with this update.

I’ll have to see how the reality plays out in real life before commenting too much.

On master Fahz is currently able to one shot Drone sized enemies and DeeBees with a Longshot with just Ambush and Exploit Weakness at level 6 - you can make do without Modified Longshot. I’m fairly sure you dont event need an active reload. I don’t know where the threshold is. With Modified Longshot you obviously get a further buff.

It may be that at level 6, this change may not even make much of a difference because the damage still exceeds the enemy’s health/defence. It’ll obviously affect lower level Fahz’s but we need something to work toward. I think the main thing is the effect on strong enemies like Scions etc.

Hopefully that win bonus is Hugh and TC implements placement matches again. I feel like bunching us all in Bronze again is just the wrong way to go about it. I know they want a certain type of Grind but bunching everyone behind bronze to start out again just was just too lop sided.

My Fahz Master attempt which ended with 112 or so ribbons while I mostly have Level 4 skills on him may or may not have had some influence on that decision…:thinking:

No Marcus was involved, though. Fahz seemed fine but then I don’t have him maxed, so… maybe it is justified, maybe not.

I never touched Marcus in previous OP’s, so I won’t pretend to be an expert on him, however from what others have told me he used to be able to keep his Ult running much easier but he just didn’t do as much damage.

I don’t even enjoy playing as Marcus right now because his gameplay loop is boring, sit behind cover, shoot things, that’s it. I know folks will argue that its essentially how every class works but most classes have a wider diversity of playstyles I feel, I almost wanted to blow my brains out last night playing as him towards the end.

@Outlaweditzz Bastions only seem to work right on tile based maps (Overload, Abyss, and Rail Line) but on every other map they are kamikaze and don’t shield enemies (like they are supposed to)

I’m hoping it will be generous, because in the patch notes it says round win points will be added later on in future updates. If we go on the ratio of what it is now which is 1 : 1.5 (100 max you can earn, 150 for the win) it will have to be a amount higher than 1000. Hopefully they address this in the developer stream later.

The question i have about the engineer fortification damage/health perks ;

  1. If an engineer buys a fortification, then that fort is perked. If someone else upgrades it, does it still have the perk?
  2. If someone else buys a fortification, then the perked engineer upgrades that fortification, does that fortification then gain the benefits from the engineers perks?
  3. If an engineer buys a fortification early with a low level perk, will that fortification then scale up as the engineer upgrades his perk later in the game?

I think Baird needed some buffs to his damage cards.

Cole got a couple of minor nerfs but holy hell his new damage perk and buffing Pyromaniac from 60% to 100% is huge! I use Burn Rounds and Pyromaniac as part of my Horde setup for him and that’s going to be a sight to see. He’s still a monster in Escape even with these hits, no big worries.

But Fahz …Fahz…WHYYYYYYYYYY??? A 40% nerf?? Wtf! Don’t you guys think that’s a little extreme? You couldn’t reduce it by 20 or 25%? Way too harsh for a character that JUST gained legitimacy in the meta, now you’re gonna have hosts denying him entry again. Please consider correcting the values on that nerf. Sincerely, a Fahz main.

Also… thank you for making Mac great again. That damage buff was sorely needed.

I swear, this is one of the worst news I’ve ever heard.
I absolutely loved fast movement in 4, in 5 I feel clunky as hell all the time. I just can’t stand it.

That Fahz nerf could actually mean quite a difference, especially in Escape. Possibly the one-shots are over now?

Cole was only partially nerfed. Basically reverted to the dmg resistance before OP4 and the numbers shuffled around a bit. If you’re not running, you’ll get damaged.

That Engineer upgrade is certainly something that could go sideways. Them getting perks is nice and all (x5 Engineer only run?) but with randoms, this could become a nightmare.

Marcus nerf was stupid… this will result in them being more selfish than they already are. The automatic active reload should have been reverted in my opinion. It’s what makes him too strong in the first place.

Yeah played Marcus alot during OP 2 and 3 and you could keep his ult going though it required a bit more effort than it does now. You would deal a decent amount of damage, you could share the ult with everyone without having to kill everything, had to hit the active reload as much as possible and you wouldn’t be getting nearly as many kills as you can now which is mostly due to TC weakening the enemies in master and unecassarly buffing Marcus. I really can’t understand why they gave him the buff he got cause he was fine the way he was.
