But I’m really not expecting a Winter skin for Lizzie at this point, when it’s taken them so long to still not get one out by now. Probably in no small part due to the 4 or 5 Store skins for Baird in Op 2…

Quick play when playing guardian and the leader dies the music then loops until you leave the lobby. It overlaps with the other music and won’t stop until you quit out.
This was recently implemented. TC is highly motivated to keep this game as a top tier contender for making players delete this game. This is priority #1. They are dedicated and have a 100% satisfaction garauntee.
Saw something about skill points and thought for a second they would finally implement Lv6-cards or at least scrapping cards. Silly me. PvP-experience is obviously more important.

I really wish TC wasn’t involved in Gears tactics. Feels like Gears 5 has and will continue to suffer because of it.
Exactly what I was thinking. The problem with getting no points on a win really was not a problem.
It is the losing 1000 plus points on a loss as gold tier and below ranked player because you get thrown in a match against a master or diamond player and his gold buddy getting carried up the ladder when the system says your supposed to lose to that team by a 10000 point difference.
This should not be going on guys. Gold 1 tier starts at less than 10000 tier points and losing 1000 or more easily puts a player down a whole tier. 2 games in a row like this can put someone very close to losing another tier.
If the above situation were to happen in a true skill based match making system then the gold tier player should lose almost no points for his bad performance against a much higher skilled team unless a much lower skilled teammate greatly out performs them.
It is the tiers at the top that should be constantly changing players back and forth between tiers because their should be less players at higher ranks if the ranking system is working properly.
I have a feeling that it was working that way to begin with and because of an outcry of top ranked players saying that they should not be losing 1000 points on a loss because their noob teammates that they got stuck with lost the game for them it got tweaked and twisted beyond repair. So now those noobs that should not have been in the match to begin with get punished for their inability to out perform a master and his noob backpack.
Sorry for the rant but this ranking system issue really grinds my gears because the whole point of SBMM is to play against people of similar skill. Not this crazy mess of low and mid level players matching high level players to satisfy quicker match times.
If they would just put everybody’s rank back on the scoreboard post match then we could see ok that silver 1 guy way out performed me that’s why I went down so much.
Leave it the way it is pre match with the progression rank then in the post match after action report give us the match score board with every players tier rank next to their gamertag on the tab where you can look at your rank.
Maybe they could make the personal round scores smaller on the page and move the rank symbol towards the side to fit the scoreboard on the page with everything else.
This would prevent alot of these why did I go down complaints because then we can see why we went down.
Yep than add a quitter or 2 on your team. Idk when this rolled update rolled out. Earlier today I lost a match due a quitter. I actually played really well, so I figured I’ll lose at most a couple hundred points. It was like 1600. It honestly didn’t faze me I was Just like f’en Ranking system. 12 hours later I’m reading this lol. I was actually fine with 0 points for a win. The few 0 point win games I had I played like crap and was happy I just didn’t lose any points.
I had this thought the other day when I was messing around on my smurf and ran into a 4 stack. All with Master gnasher skins. I thought it was going to be a sweaty game. Turns out I was wrong. Me and a bunch of randoms stomped them 2-0 and it wasn’t even close.
Previous ranking system had flaws, but anyone who made it to Masters was at least a decent player.

I’m very skeptical about the ranked ‘redesign’ the article that TC has linked doesn’t really suggest they are scrapping this system all together and starting again. More keeping the same foundations but altering the finishing touches.
They just need to get rid of ranked from the game and return to a gears 2 style leaderboard.

Would be neat to see crossovers happen with Tactics and Gears 5, maybe adding some characters to Gears 5 and vice versa.
