I think the issue here with the “Elite Drone” in gears 4 is that TC mishandled the back story for their own ideas.
I saw the Elite drone in Gears 4 as the de-facto standard of the Swarm’s lore making sense, non of this kind of lore like the sniper has “The Speaker took out it’s eye” (yet more are born after his death) makes sense to anyone.
My conspiracy saying “Their body hardens” makes sense in gears 4 because it works with the colors and strength they had, But TC ditched that easy to understand method of classifying the difference between each variation and why their skin turns black/grey, i so would’ve loved to see the Sniper’s head spike to turn black and grow a bit more since it made sense with the drone.
It pisses me off as a lore conspirator and the fact i never made a proper video on something of this caliber furthers my anger about the forgotten lore they keep erasing and re-writing for some terrible reason.
In conclusion, I’m hoping TC will pay attention to this and make an effort to make each variation and Elite variation make sense and have capable armor to back it up. This makeshift armor equaling elites just boggles my mind and doesn’t work since it’ll change to another armor in the next game and People won’t understand the difference between Elites and Normal variants until they fix the differentiations between each stage.
(P.S. The imago is an example of this as the Imago is soft like a juvie, but has more mass to it and hardens into a swarm variation based on where it hardens most & it’s gender.
And TC, if you do listen to this feedback… Thank you, it means alot to me for lore to be easy and understanding for anyone who plays the current versions of Gears, it also helps people grow attached to the swarm more.)
