Freeze-resistant bosses would be an interesting mutator for dailies…

Well I don’t think it’d change things up much for most of the bosses. May make the Matriarch a bigger pain. Freezing the Wakaatu isn’t really necessary to kill it, just makes it easier because you don’t have to deal with it flying all over the place and always insta downing players with its attacks(if it is in the air).

True, but it would make bosses just slightly harder to deal with and more importantly might remove one of the standard-mutators that are annoying (Exe-rules/ Regen + regen-penalty).

Maybe combining it with something like “Increased Boss spawns” would spice things up. I know that it was possible to get 3 Sentinels at once for maybe 2 days before they that got removed again. So I would assume it’s possible to increase the amount of Bosses/Minibosses at the sametime as well.

Hell, if TC is getting creative we might even get a Boss-rush-event or something like that.

I don’t remember that. I just know Gears 4 didn’t have the same limitations on spawning Guardians and Sentinels as Gears 5 does. Afaik Frenzy and modes based off of it in 4 currently spawn in 3 at a time at most(iirc it was reduced to that amount after some time).

I’m also not sure how well a boss rush event will work in Gears 5 as it did in 4. Most classes won’t be capable of killing them as quickly now so supporting 5+ bosses out at the same time may not be particularly fun.

Back when Frenzy was introduced and didn’t have stats or anything yet. When it wasn’t even an option in customs. For the first 2 days or so you could get 3 mini bosses at once. I don’t even remember if multiple Wardens and Stumps could spawn as. I only remember the sheer terror of having Sentinel after Sentinel spawn and the health-bar pop up.

I didn’t have any bosses spawn in more than multiples of two however there was that case of wiping a miniboss early because Wardens just love charging into the base and well, Sentinels be Sentinels, and getting another one spawned in. One time I was invited by a friend for a two player run with some bots where I was Marksman and headshotting Sentinels over and over on wave 4 just for another one to spawn in because there wasn’t many other enemies about to take up the spawn meter.

The game really doesn’t seem to like spawning in a second Swarmak though, if you kill it off early, seemingly because the boss takes up a ridiculous portion of the spawn bar for enemies. On that note, I have witnessed rare incidents of a Demo/back when it was JD immediately killing the Swarmak by simply dropping the ult on it which I have no idea how that happens.

They probably realized it’s a bit overkill. This was all way back in Op2 or 3 when Kait was still a Sniper-class and enemies were dealing a lot more damage.

Eeeeeeh, back when the daily-rewards could still be cheesed with Wave 50 I managed to kill 3 or 4 Swarmaks in a row on Nexus with Fahz+Marcus.

Probably the Ult dropping while the Swarmak was moving so the Ult hit the pimple on his back.

Thing is I was stunning it with Dropshots. One moment it was stunned where it spawned way too close to the base, the next it was just gone.

Must be a Frenzy thing then because usually even on wave 12 if the Swarmak goes down early on, there isn’t another one that ends up spawning in.
