We need an explanation of the Stim, and its various "units"

What is “HP”???

Lahni gets “220HP” stim on ultimate activation… Lizzie gets “5HP” stim when dealing damage…

Marcus gets “100 stim per seconds”… (no HP, no units)

COG Gear gets “70%” stim from team revive (percent, not HP)…

LIke, what the heck IS ALL THIS???

HP? Percent? No units??? WTF??

@TC_MichaelAOS or @mjrdecision could we have a explination on this, please?

Someone posted a pretty good breakdown a while back on the forum. I’ll see if I can drag it up again.

I think this is the topic:

(edit, added typo corrections and tagged TC MichaelAOS)

I donno, that thread is filled with guesses, assumptions, and statements which begin with things like "in my testing on THIS diff level, , , "

There are references to HP being hit points that protect you from anything, but i dont believe Lahni’s stim will protect her from 200 hits of anything…

WE DONT KNOW…

And why, ffs, do we have these multiple different ways and units of representing it? It makes no sense…

I mean, ok, TC, let me narrow it down. How about: ( @TC_MichaelAOS ) :

  1. What is the base health of horde and escape characters

  2. What is the base amount of stim characters can have without being supplemented by extra stim cards/perks

  3. Is stim just “extra health” added, or something more, which protects you from “hits” as a whole, and not just the amount of damage which hits cause?

  4. What is “HP”?

  5. When stim is referred to in percentages, percent of WHAT? Max health? Max stim? Etc?

  6. When stim is referred to in raw numbers, and not HP or %, what are those numbers?

@GhostofDelta2, isnt there a TC pershon who reads these forums? Maybe you can tag them, to see if we can get an official reply, so we can all stop with the guessing?
Stim seems like an important NEW addition to thr game, yet we got barely more than a surface level explainarion of what it is, and just as a CONCEPT, without any details linking how its cards actually work/apply…

Thanks!

I’ll tag @TC_MichaelAOS and see if we can get a bit more of a detailed explanation of the Stim system.

  1. 2000
  2. 500
  3. Extra health, that also protects you from any hit while you have stim
  4. HP is just the unit they’re using when referring to health or stim
  5. Max stim
  6. HP

Right, HERE is the thing… HOW does that work…

So if I have max stim, is that the same as someone having no stim but extra 25% health? What is this “protects you from any hit” ? What does this mean?

if I have 1 unit of stim and swarmak fires a rocket at me, if that 1 unit of stim going to save me?? Or is this going to be treated like if I just had 2001 health, and I’ll go down?

ok, so when you say you can have max of 500 “stim”, that means a max of “500 HP”? of stim? and when Marcus is generating “100 stim per second”, is this “100 HP per second?”

So Lizzie’s 5HP of stim is kinda crap… Cog’s 5HP of stim per headshot is crap…

But again, where do you get this from? Where’s the official TC communication which confirms this? Do you have proof that this is how it is, or do you just have a theory which happens to match with what you see on the screen?

Yes, from my understanding, one unit of stim will save you from any hit, unless it’s a special insta-kill attack like from a Matriarch or Carrier. So Emile’s and Lizzie’s stim is still useful just to tank one hit which helps a lot in high difficulty. Yes, you’re right these aren’t official numbers, it’s just what forum posters arrived at in their “testing.” And it doesn’t seem like anyone has had a better explanation than that, so I’ve been going off this. One thing I don’t know is how stim works when you have cards or perks that increase health (e.g. Cole’s Perk Up, Mac’s Crazy Tough, the new power taps). Since stim is 25% of health, does stim increase along with health, or does it stay the same? I’m guessing it scales with health. Perhaps someone more qualified could provide better answers.

I upgraded the Paduk stim card to where he gets 90% stim, I thought maybe that could help me keep the stim longer…

Nope… on Elite, a single shot of pretty much anything drops all stim immediately…

So I guess 90% is pretty useless… Saves you from ONE hit… But doesn’t help you KEEP it, so for Paduk’s bleed card, it’s useless…

Would love a wiki site with all numbers for everything written down and updated with each patch.
Like weapon damage, stim, structure health and damage(barriers, sentries etc) As well as the different skills cards, abilities, perks etc.
Same with what abilities that stack and not.

I am pretty sure level 4 MG Sentries do 800 a bullet but that is all I can be sure when it comes to sentries of any type.
