I’m not going to scroll down to the bottom of a post, and then scroll back up to reply to someone. No one does that.
I’m not salty in the slightest, though calling me a noob (seriously dude?) suggests maybe you are.
“I want to see change in this game”, which is why I, and a dozen others, spend our days saying constructive things like “Game is trash” over and over, and saying how I am definitely, totally, no foolin’ gonna go back to Gears 4 this time.
I said if you don’t enjoy the game, then go do something you DO enjoy. Not exactly the salty insult of the century.
Lol you say that as if it’s me saying it, however i don’t see anywhere where i’ve said im going back to gears 4. And if you actually see all of my comments you’d see most of the times when i say it’s “trash”, i have a reasoning alongside the comment related to the post.

I think it’s more “I love this franchise but i don’t like this iteration of it” rather than what you said.
GoW 4 was good. I had alot more fun with it and it felt more like how a GoW game should be. There where some tweaks that TC never got right that needed to be done in GoW 4, but an overall better game. They didn’t improve upon that forumla they had in GoW 4. They had a good game through and through, but because they wanted e-sports to be a thing and slow the pace of the game down, they ripped that forumla out instead.

I’d like to defend Halo 5’s loot boxes. Yes, you could buy them for real money, but they were set up in such a way that you could also unlock every item through gameplay in a reasonable period of time (I think it took me ~200 hours). Once you unlocked an item it was removed from the RNG pool (no duplicates), so there was a sense of progression. Any common item you unlocked at least served to make rare items more likely in subsequent packs. It was a much more satisfying and fair implementation of loot box mechanics than GOW 4, where you could keep getting duplicates of the same items (most of which were unwanted clutter), and there was no sense of actual progression toward unlocking everything.

Where is evidence that MS is responsible!?
I’m completely guessing honestly as I mentiond it’s what I see (meaning just my opinion).
Based on common business practices and how you track money with operational investments, through put costs, and then the return on that investment. It would make sense for MS to want these things to max profits even if it’s at the expense of the game that the fans wanted.
I don’t think Microsoft played a huge role in this. If we look at Forza it was no where near as heavily monetized and was a very successful game. Would be weird if they forced the coalition to put all of this stuff in their game when the Gears franchise used to be a system seller.

I think last time I checked, Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios are run as two separate divisions.
So if anything, it would be down to the latter one making those decisions.
It says, “this game was ■■■■. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You didn’t learn from the mistakes of your previous game and decided to ■■■■ on the fanbase.” That’s what posting on this forum says. G5 is barely worth a 1. The campaign was bland and had an online service that couldn’t work for several days. Ultimately defeating the purpose of the Ultimate Edition’s early access.
It’s blatantly clear that TC doesn’t know what they’re doing. Either it’s incompetency on Rod. The inexperience of the team. Or both.
All in all. This game deserves all the negativity from us since these paid review shills won’t speak up.
This isn’t the Microsoft of 2013 and earlier. They let their developers run the show. The heavy monetization is on TC.

Tbh i really think TC decides in generell what to do with Gears 5 but i could be wrong
To each their own. I give it 4 stars. Great game, just has some flaws that require addressing. Im having a lot of fun nonetheless

That may or may not be the case but I don’t support censorship. In my mind, this isn’t to prevent review bombing. Its to prevent their sales taking a dip. Game developers put money above all else. Look at Blizzard and the whole China mess.
