Fortnite is at a 2 star rating. I doubt Epic pay much attention to it.
And looking at the responses on these forums, I wouldn’t respond to most of these if I was a Dev.
I doubt it the game will continue to roll with a solid player base but won’t have numbers it initially had from its launch to a month after it released. There aren’t a whole lot of AAA games coming this year. CoD is the only one where I see it hurting the user base by a big margin but then again its the same bs hype and is a joke on the multiplayer side because Activision literally eats the game alive with its monetization schemes. They’ve lost over 60% of its Xbox pre-orders due to their greedy schemes. So ya compared to last year there aren’t a lot of huge games that can kill Gears long term and The Coalitions already confirmed there will be a huge update in December that will add characters like Dom Cole Baird and Carmine as well as skins and other earnable content. There also could be an addition to new game modes because TC subtly mentioned it in the Tour of Duty/Operations trailer before the game released (hopefully beast mode).
I don’t think it will die but it will be at a low till the next operation will arrive. Time will tell. I think we all should give them till December until we can fully criticize their decisions and whether the player base will be gone. Unlike Gears 2 the player base is way more healthier than that game was a month after its launch. I find it so funny how both Epic and TC messed up their second entry to the Gears franchise on the multiplayer side. Guess Rod is seeing history repeat itself somewhat lol

gears of war 6 will have to do something dramatic to reflect its gears again…
bring back active down
bring back center screen shooting
bring back backpack
make execution, guardian, wingman , and KOTH the 4 only primal game modes to focus your game on.You cant have any of that sorry…but you can have a store that works fine…full of non related gears items that are overpriced 
i didnt buy gears 5 so if gears 6 is like that im not buying that one either haha

But as company they should not be lead by emotions
