Was kinda relieved to see this. 2.8 rating (update- its now 2.5)

Could’ve quickly looked up the review score to see if he was lying or not. Before you know, accusing him of lying…

I agree with you STAINDGREY , i really hope that it gets better and sincerely hope TC reads the reviews from players that as me didn’t have a blast of a time with this game .

I agree with you and I support your point .

You keep saying this to people.

Who is we? Speak for yourself and yourself only.

You’re quite ignorant if you think people who don’t like Gears 5 are still gonna continue playing it.

my thoughts exactly.

You crybabies come on here everyday crying about the game and saying you’re done. If you were really done you wouldn’t be here everyday complaining you would have moved on since this game is such a lost cause. But I’m starting to think you guys are it’s biggest fans lol.

It’s the same thing every year. Omg this game is the worst I’m going back to the old one. When in reality you keep playing. As soon as they put the carmines or classic delta skins in the store you guys will be right back nobody takes you serious. Especially TC which is why they keep the micro transactions

They got plenty of constructive criticism for Gears 5 during the Tech Test. Nothing changed.

And you’re just trying to stir people up be casting broad nets over valid points to dismiss them.

I’m not done with Gears 5 in the least. But I certainly enjoyed Gears 3 and 4 more than this, and I’m airing my grievances here with the hope that more people do the same and TC sees the feedback and takes it into account. I’m here precisely because I want the game to succeed and I don’t want to go back to Gears 4 if I don’t have to.

Notice how I didn’t say “we” because I can only speak for myself there. You should try it sometime.

You people whines so much during 4 and now it’s the best thing ever? Hilarious. It’s not a matter of if you don’t have go back to it you won’t the reality is you won’t go back to it and we all know it

Because the tech test is just a server stress test. That close to launch, nothing major was going to be changed. Their goals were simply to iron out as many bugs as they could and ship on-time.

Major UI changes or wholesale balance changes or fundamental changes to core gameplay take a lot more time. We need to be persistent but patient as a community if we want changes. Or, just put the game down and go play something else while they make their changes. Declining player bases are a great way to fast track change.

That is sad,(2.8 rating)but I’m sure once the update(s)come out to fix this game, and more content,Gamers might come back.

Okay, so.

A) I wasn’t here complaining about Gears 4 when it launched. I was actually quite satisfied with it. I thought Horde was a bit of a downgrade from Gears 3 but I really liked the game as a whole.
B) You’re just further proving my point that you’re intentionally stirring the pot by using blanket statements and not actually trying to further any discussion at all.
C) I already have gone back to Gears 4 multiple times this week. It’s even in my Gamertag’s history. So.

Plus, on a tangential point, people “go back” to old Gears games all the time. Just because it’s not the most current one doesn’t mean it’s suddenly not worth playing. Gears 3 is still a fantastic game even by modern shooter standards, and the community is surprisingly lively. I still think it had the best overall map selection of any Gears game. I miss playing it and go back a few times a year.

But you would know that if you asked instead of making blanket assumptions that conform to your already held beliefs.

It was also a test for gameplay and new game mechanics. There was several threads deemed official feedback for some of the major changes.

I doubt they’ll listen. TC are always adamant they know best, even if they spit on tradition with their abomination (Inverse Omen) and removal of the curb stomp. Two small things on a long list of disappointments.

They did well with Gears 4, so how they could’ve went so wrong is beyond me. It’s a studio specifically for Gears…yet this game has a feel as if a third party developer came in to take the reins.

Personally I’ll keep at it, my free time is limited these days and the predecessors are better (I played Gears 3 religiously daily for 5 years, good times :joy: ) but the completionist in me wants to stick with it.

Hopefully with some updates they’ll get it working properly but it won’t change things like execution being put on B, the terrible reticles or the chainsaw being RB.

Of course people go back to old ones but the idea that they’ll stay on them until the next game is why people laugh at you and don’t take you serious. Congrats you liked four and played it a bit this week. You’ll also be right back on 5 as soon as they add something new and you’ll def be spending money on the store at some point

I understand, and I mostly agree. But what I’m saying is that in game development major changes don’t happen quickly. The tech test was far too close to launch to see these meaningful changes happen. It doesn’t mean they’re not working on them.

Time will tell.

Though, I thought you could change the control scheme if you don’t like the chainsaw being on RB? I personally like the change so I haven’t checked.

Of course they don’t, but they’ve had time. It shouldn’t be difficult to bring an option for the original, superior omen to return. I’ll be able to see what is happening during a fight again.

The custom button mapping is limited, I’d prefer if you could actually bind a specific ‘function’ (secondary fire, execution) to a button as opposed to literally just swapping them around.

People laugh at me all the time. I direct and star in a comedy show. :sunglasses:

Point is, your bullying tactics are ineffective. You don’t know me. I don’t spend money on DLC for games I don’t like. Right now, I don’t really like Gears 5. I’m playing it with hopes that some of my grievances are addressed, and I can only hope that they’re addressed by listing them here. If they aren’t, I’ll get bored, I’ll stop playing, and yeah, I’ll likely go back to Gears 4 or 3 to get my Gears fix. The fact that I already have for spurts is telling.

Whether or not you believe me is frankly not my problem.

You’ll throw money at the store as soon as they add a character you want or a weapon skin you like. You’ll have well over 100hrs in this game. If telling the truth makes you feel bullied then so be it

Actually besides the fact that gears 5 bombed, We are still gear fans and we do share our opinion hoping the game gets better but as of now, It sucks major donkey **** and they keep doing the wrong things

I’m guilty of spending on esports items. With the way the store is set up it’s the only thing worth getting then never having to worrie about it. Because the way the earnings system is set up is a slap in the face. The Gears store is set up like a free to play game. So I wont partake in the grind.
