Seriously, was anyone playing the Bautista skin in PvP / PvE and thought “Yeah this is WAY better than Marcus!”
It’s no big deal, except when you consider all the time and effort it took TC’s team to build Bautista into the campaign, when they could’ve spent the same time and effort on fixing the countless bugs in this game, or maybe giving us content we might actually want: More maps, new PvP and PvE modes, etc.

Different people work on different things. The studio has a whole heap of sub-jobs.

I dont care really for bautista dont get me wrong but why is it when any celebrity gets involved with gears the fanbase gets upset about it?
Because they don’t belong in the game and waste resources that could be used to actually improve the experience.
Apparently Bautisa (himself) and that marketing Greenberg guy were asking for it. It’s fine for a change up, i like his line delivery for the most part. But having him in the campaign is blaspehemy!
Nope and honestly he wouldn’t even be in my running list of actors to play Marcus in a live action movie. I really enjoy him as an actor but I don’t see him as Marcus at all. Tbh he’d probably make a better Fahz LoL.
I am super happy though that we finally get to customize campaign weapons and heck why not the characters to. I’ve wanted this since the introduction of skins in the Gears series. I remember when I said this back when 4 came out and the amount flack I got for it was crazy nice to see people are finally on board though.
Amongst all of the people that have played gears, very few knew/know about the idea of a movie being made or batista having an interest in the game and marcus as a character.
Ultimately its a way to sort of appeal to those that like the idea of a movie being made, possibly staring batista and puts the idea of that concept into new people. Its like a possible advertisement to a film that might get made.
Sort of off topic but a gears movie would be a complete flop, it would be a generic uninteresting action film with the dialogue and depth of an avengers movie. However going down the route of a show could be really good, giving them time to flesh out characters, build depth to problems and make the world interesting.
And why dont they belong? Anyone can like gears.
Not if i wrote it it wouldn’t flop. And i dont’ think a TV show would work. Way too expensive, to recreate Sera, to do the monsters justice, to do the action set pieces. Huge budget. Nah. Movie or none.

Because they break the tiny bit of immersion left in the game. And liking a game and forcing your persona into it are 2 different things.
You would pass up a top tier tv show, fleshing out depth of sera, arguments, build up of tensions, flashbacks of uir conflicts, political struggles, Character development, swarm or locust build ups and stories for a 60 minute film that would struggle to show any of those things in an appealing way to an adult.
In game terms, I’m asking for the witcher 3 and you want pac man.

Can you guys believe that after 15 months of feedback, TC decided the game needed more Bautista than anything else?
Nothing against the guy, I think the resource allocation at the studio could’ve been better.

I like the guy but unless we were to see a flashback of a chubby-faced baby Marcus fighting during the Pendulum Wars, he just doesn’t look right.
While we’re at it, let’s call in Eddie Murphy to replace Cole.
Like I am with you on the whole Bautista and seriously would like to know who asked for this or are even a group of players who suggest that. Now having said that … I now want Eddie Murphy to do a voice over for some of Coles lines. I don’t know why … I don’t even know if I will like it but I need this lol.
