Wallbouncing Problem operation 3

Hi everyone,

I have tried to do a fast wall bounce in operation 3 (lan party) and it keeps sticking me to the wall on the second bounce. When I see other people they fly through the game. I pullaway and do a new input but reguardless it sticks me to the wall. Every other gears does not have this problem.

If im doing something wrong someone please explain. if its the game balancing how could i get around that. I will try to have the xbox clip attached.

The thing is, I dont know if im the problem with it because I still see people wallbouncing super fast. However, I will still look at the thread. Thanks !

thats great, everytime it try to pull away it just sticks me to the wall. Any chance of showing me a clip and the technique you use?

Technique? It’s called button mashing. If it’s good enough for Street Fighter 2 it’s good enough for Gears 5.

They also need to revert the Gnasher and lancer back to 4.11

I’m having this issue.

Spider-Man sticks to walls less than I do now a days.

It’s probably your controllers sensitivity. The movement speed for Operation 3 has changed. I noticed the same problem when wall bouncing or when I was trying to get out of cover. But I changed settings and adjusted for a better response. I would just play around with the controller settings and adjust the dead zones.

Yep I have experienced the same problem as well as the self-cancel wall bounce where the character will just stop short of the wall and stand there and freeze for like quarter second or something.
It feels like a long time when an opponent is walking towards you.

They just messed up again and we have to learn the game again. These delays are horrible. They still haven’t added the option of input on press or release and have reverted the games Gnasher and movement back to its launch state. absolutely horrendous

not even DOC OCK stick to walls as he should .

nowadays Spiderman and Doc Ock plays Gears of War 4, I have checked and the wallbouncing its on point there.

The wall bouncing does now seem consistantly slow and unresponsive (versus the occasional fast playing game you get on low ping) .

I have 3 theories on this.

  1. Everyone is now playing the game as it’s meant to be played and the lag comp before allowed you to break speed limits/response times, thus appearing to move faster than I physically can on my screen. This lines up well with how free and smooth the games has always felt when playing on distant servers.
  2. They accidentally nerfed every aspect of acceleration instead of just the up A. The way cover sldies and cancels out of cover seem to take an age would seem to line up with this.
  3. Somehow all actions are now on release and if not pressed for X amount of time fail to register (simialar to how defautl controls are set up) but this is somehow universal on nearly all actions. No evidence of this, but I cant figure out any other way that getting out of cover should now sometimes seem impossible.

What ever it is, something is off, but what people are describing is genuinely how movement feels in well over half my matches before the update.

I’m not having this issue with slow wall bounce. Might be a server thing.

How it’s playing now is not too far off how I expect it to normally play in low ping games.

You’re right, it could always be the servers just being odd, it is TC after all.

I meant because of quarantine and OP3 release. Increased load on the servers.
