I beat gears tactics but it looks like there are more missions after the story…should I do the veteran missions or make a new game and try to beat it on insane??
You could do a bit of both 
The veteran missions can be fun but quickly become repetitive, especially as you have units leveled up and with god tier gear.
Insane lives up to its name.

I’d argue that Insane is more like Inconceivable on Gears 4. Your units don’t get downed, they just die. Plus most enemies kill your troops with a single hit.
But once you do an Insane playthrough, even Experinced will feel super easy. And since you have 5 save slots to work with, you could dedicate 1 to Insane and another to an Ironman campaign.

Thanks guys, yeah it sounds rough but I guess I will try at campaign and keep my other save file for other stuff.
A new game plus feature would have been nice though huh?

I know I’m stuck on the 2nd mission and have been retrying the same check point for 4 hours. Just thinking about what else I could have been doing with my time is driving me insane
We need the option to start over in the story after beating the game with the new gear we unlocked not reset characters stats/abilities but the hero characters holdon to their abilities and gears youve unlocked when you play through it again.
