Bam that’s the answer right here.
I think what people seem to forget is that games should launch in a functioning state. If they don’t, they go the way of Division 1, Anthem, Fallout 76… etc.
I think what people seem to forget is that you used to be able to buy games that worked, day 1, when you bought them.
I think what people seem to forget is that we were still in early access, the game has been out a week and it’s still broken. Now that it’s out, wow. You think there’s lots of posts now about how the game is trash? Wait til aaaaaaall the other people join in the fun of this broken game.
I think what people seem to forget is that this is the only industry that the people that are ripped off and sold broken products actually MAKE EXCUSES FOR THE POEPLE THAT SOLD THEM THE GARBAGE. There isn’t a single other industry that isn’t regulated, protected or somehow overseen by either a public or private entity that ensures the quality of the products sold to the consumers. It’s absolutely insane. I don’t understand how so many people can just bend over and take it over and over and over again and keep making excuses… gamers these days are like hipster battered wives…
Guaranteed people will still complain with the same complaints when gears 6 comes out.
On topic though, it’s a fun game. I need to try escape again now that servers are stable… Ish.
Sadly those days are long gone thanks in most part to the 360 and PS3. Once games were able to updated the rush to get the game out before it was finished became a trend.
You just have to know when to pick your battles and how to best approach the enemy team. A lot of people especially in TDM feed the enemy team kills over and over while rushing to same place where they just got killed 2 times prior.
Companies that release broken software, with nothing but promises of they will be fixed someday and those who are accepting that it’s ok to buy a broken product, with hopes that things will be fixed.
I personally won’t buy a house and live in it if the walls won’t hold up the walls and not going to buy a car that tires are square. For those who are ok with it, Good Luck. I would just prefer that they fix stuff prior to release.
And yes, I work in an enviroment where our product is expected to work, so we make sure it does before we sell it.
I think most people are having issues bc where they live because their ping is to high, this game plays great everything seems to work for me with no issues now, but my ping is around 24 so I get the best experience out of this game. No issues besides the results not loading. That’s fixed now for me anyways. Really enjoying the game now.
Yeah, I am with you! And now people complain that the 5 is too different from 4, or too difficult, or too much grinding.
I had my doubts about horde with locked classes and skills but the game indeed has a lot of potential when you get into it. Sure they could have skipped the blood stains, cheezy markers and banners but since I dont care about stuff like that it does not affect my experience of the game as a whole. I like a good game of horde no matter who I play as or what the character is wearing.
I’m not talking about when to pick battles or approach the enemy team, we know how to work around a team sitting with lancers, anyone with 1 brain cell could! I’m talking about how it’s so lancer based & from my perspective it seems more inclined on a new fan base, rather than the community that’s enjoyed it for years!
You can’t expect them to cater to only a small percentage of people that are the hardcore fans. This is a business where millions of dollars were invested so they can see that returned plus profit. I been playing since Gears 1 and love the Gnasher as much as anybody, but of course a game will continue to evolve and change a bit because that’s what a sequel should do. Still able to use the Gnasher just as much and wallbounce so I don’t see too much of a difference. The game isn’t suppose to be centered around 1 gun anyways. There’s always going to be campers in any form of multiplayer especially with game types like TDM
