I like the simplicity of the design, we do have but something ain’t right. First here is the concept and idea to solve that:
A straight line down the middle (of console) with 3 lines going straight down vertically within its thin borders .(similar in size to the disc drive or slightly wider.) It’s important not to be sticking out or depressed in at all or look like it is. (may look broken/unfinished)
The lines within each line can be spaced out equally or have one spaced visibly and/or slightly more. The more spaced out line can be closer to the disc drive or to the farthest end inside the boundary straight line. (I choose closer to disc drive. It will resemble mentally a slimmer mental picture of the Xbox to resemble more of the series s).
I want lights (one light actually preferred) to beam through this line where it beams more brightly and/or more through the larger spaced lines (maybe due to it’s location… I prefer green light/white…but green for me {original Xbox light)
Now a pattern shade (shade to dim certain areas of the incoming internal light) decision that I believe will look good in between the bigger spaced lines, if a pattern is better then no pattern at all: braided triangular pattern, triangular zigzag, marbled (maybe literally place a piece of marble surface there), and an hour glass triangular pattern (maybe start with two arrows that are shaded darker than the rest of the triangles pointed in the middle of this bigger spaced section of lines where the less darker triangle from the other one is placed on the top, while the darker (almost blocking all light) one is placed at the bottom of this less darker triangle with bases touching.
This will make the series X look more less like a pc monitor, and more distinct. Here’s some videos for a reference.
