■■■■ maybe for some it take 5-6, but with the medals available 24/7 I’ve finished every tour so far in about a week and a half, lots of horde and escape non-stop ■■■■■■■■ and yeah I kinda do it to myself but leaves nothing left of interest until weekly store items come (which we all know how that goes). I do agree a better option would be to have the free tour as they have it planned now but then add a second TOD that you need to pay for with the really good stuff, I wouldn’t even mind it they charged us $20 for it. It cost that just to get a complete blue(“rare”) weapon skin set (just completed my bricks set, frickin love it) but not worth more than $10 for all of it

One of my all time favorite franchises tbh… though it’s sad that I own Phantom Pain but never even played it lmfao… The fact that it’s open world greatly concerned me, that’s just NOT MGS, that and I got hooked into Gears shortly after.

I think the survey is OK but it’s pretty biased towards your views should be an other option where u can write what you think yourself on most of the questions. E. G. I think the store is OK but its just a tad bit overpriced I didn’t think you needed to earn iron for it to be good like in your survey.

I was actually able to get the TOD yesterday by playing only the modes i enjoyed (Versus) without focusing on it at all. I only play 4 days a week, about 4 hours a day.
It is much better than it was on Op1/2 if you give a try. That is if you like the rewards ofc

Well then I guess it’s a good thing that they extended this operations Tour of Duty to give people more time to complete it however I am not interested in playing four hours a day 4 days a week I want to play Gears when I want to play Gears it’s already bad enough that they choose to do their content updates on Tuesday which other games like apexlegends also do I don’t want to have to feel obligated to play Apex either but at least their battle pass every week gives players and easy way to climb about 10 to 15 levels in the battle pass without doing anything extra I barely play an hour of Apex a day maybe about 5 hours a week and I’m almost completed the battle pass I play Gears 5 pretty consistently but because I don’t play Escape or Horde as much as I play versus I will never see the stars or medals from those modes which means that I have to rely on daily challenges every single day if I want to gain a few Stars. I would be more interested if every time you level up you get one star and I’m talking about your rank from 1 to a hundred before you re-up every level should give you one star you should not be forced to do some gimmicky challenge or play a mode you don’t want to play or character you don’t want to play or use a weapon you’re not interested in or many of the other pain in the ■■■ ways they have put in this game to be able to complete this Tour of Duty

If you don’t want to play it then you don’t get the early access to the rewards. This was my same argument for Gilded Raam/the Emerald Gear and Ruby Scion in Gears 4. I didn’t care for them so i didn’t grind it. If you don’t grind you don’t have to, but the rewards will become available afterwards I’m 90% certain like the Series 3 they did with Gears 4.
That being said I still think it could be better. Not really progression as it’s easily obtainable if you try key word there. Playing when you want won’t get you anywhere. I never beat Gears 3/4 and UE on Insane by playing how I wanted. I did that to beat it. I prefer playing Gears alone in PvE and sometimes PvP if it’s feeling good, but I still played it nevertheless because I wanted to complete the TOD. If you try, it’s beatable. I just think there’s not enough incentives to beat it and nothing to do afterwards. Thus, I haven’t loaded Gears 5 in nearly five weeks.
And as for the Tuesday updates, I think I remember somewhere that it’s got something to do with Xbox, the way they check-off and approve of updates before they go live means that Tuesday is their opening gate. This is why some games lie and say “Beta” way after release, because games in Beta are allowed to bypass some of these quality checks in order to more quickly improve the “Unstable” performance of a game.
