just wanted to say that being conned out of my money when I purchased the ultimate disappointment edition of the game has meant this is the end of gears 5 for me. I have uninstalled the game as of today and I won’t be installing it again. I am glad a lot of my friends that used to play have done the same.
The only reason I check these forums every day is to see how the game is slowly dying and it actually makes me happy knowing you will be unable to keep ripping of your customers for substandard products with outrageously overpriced microtransactions. Of course that is one of many reasons why you shouldn’t be the developers for this franchise. The sooner this game dies the better, only then may you learn from your mistakes, But I doubt it because you’ve shown us how utterly incompetent you all are from day one.

yes however mostly those manufacturers and brands do deliver that… here the point is that THE COALITION didn’t even try… and the final product speaks for itself. you have to agree…
I truly believe that in their mind they come up with the conclusion that they have created a kick ■■■ game , however the fan base, and final consumer has the last word on it.
for example Moon Studios truly believed that when they created ORI AND BLIND FOREST did create a kick ■■■ game and the consumer wholeheartedly agreed and right now its a multi award-winning game in all aspects. which Gears 5 isn’t by a mile.
I use so much the game Ori and the blind forest as an example, since it truly break the limits of a platform game its about , and gears of war has also done the same in the " cover-based shooter genre", and now it has been presented as a look a like mickey mouse club game.
Im definitely not disagreeing with you. I definitely think this game has potential but where TC messed up was trying to do more for the casuals which sucks for the Gears fans.

I’m going to install a second instance of Gears 5 on one of my secondary hard drives to make up for OP uninstalling the game. How does it feel to have your hatred canceled out?
Right you’re entitled to your opinion but there’s no need to be getting on like that towards people who actually still want to play the game and give it time. I’m not saying this will ever reach the standards of previous gears but I’m at least sticking with it for the foreseeable future to see how things go.

Before you go off and say it wasn’t even worth the money, I get it, The game is filled with immense amount of bugs and problems but you’re wasting your money even more so not even playing the game at all is what I’m saying.
I still enjoy playing the game, not saying it’s an amazing game like it’s far farrrrr from it but it is playable at least in MY OPINION if anyone disagrees that’s fair enough.

The campaign was solid but I expected ranked pvp which is 80% of the game for me to be much smoother-I don’t want to play half my matches on American servers with 120ping and lag-use some of the money you made to fix the EU matchmaking so that you don’t have to chuck us in with Mexicans and Americans. Aim assist is a big negative as well…
Who goes to a forum every day, for a game they aren’t playing, to feel “happy” at seeing other people not enjoying it?
You’re done with the game? Okay, that’s certainly your right, even if I think saying you were “conned” into buying the Ult Edition is absurd. Anyone who pre-orders games, or buys without doing their research, gets what they gets.
But what is it with forums, and people feeling the need to put up these dramatic “I’m leaving! Goodbye!” posts? I see them everywhere, for all kinds of games. Is the hope that someone like Octus is going to see the title, and say “oh no! they are leaving! why?!”, click on the thread, and then feel shamed by your words?
I think the multiplayer in Gears 5 is more than a bit of a mess right now, and I think aspects of the monetization are gross. I also think the campaign is the best it’s been in years. So overall, a mixed bag for me, and YMMV depending on which you value more. But if I ever stop playing, you better believe I’m just going to stop coming here, and not waste my time making sure everyone knows I uninstalled, and I’m running away from home for real this time mom and dad.
Games are entertainment. Play things that make you happy, and let others play things that make them happy. Taking pleasure at seeing people unhappy, is not healthy.
