UK Servers - connecting to overseas servers from the UK

Hi

Quick question if anyone knows the answer

Here in the UK I always seem to be paired with mexican/American servers. Ping is atrocious and gameplay is badly affected.

Any idea why this is???

I usually play at 20:00GMT - 23:00
& 07:00-09:00GMT

In settings, under matchmaking,

You can choose to have “Faster Matchmaking” or “Lower Ping”.

Lower Ping might get you more EU games, if that wasn’t selected.

Probably down to Mexicans catering for such a large amount of the gears population

Mexico doesn’t have servers, thats why u see a lot posts complaining of high ping players. Me i happy to play 20ping upto 110, anything higher and it ruins the FUN.

when you look for games at the top of the screen you’ll see the matchmaking process.

Identifying Potential Players --> Comparing Skill Ratings -->Evaluating Match Quality --> Expanding Player PooI --> Reset

every time Expanding Players Pool comes up it will open up more regions to match with. for you, it will look in the West EU, next North EU, on and on down the list of closest regions until it finds enough players to match with

you’re playing with Mexicans/Americans because there’s not enough players in your region to match with.

Did you make them yourself or were they store bought?

I ask because I am hungry.

I usually eat lunch around 12-12:30 PST (lol that’s America for all you noobs)
