Well according to gears you have to be the best of 16 players or now the best of 8 to get the tour of duty ranked challenged coins…

I will be the first to admit, I cannot win a best or 8 or a best of 16; because gears 5 always adds a juggernaut to win.

It is sad that they deny a player that started on operation 1 these coins…

But then this is gears of war, They chose that u have to win 4 ranked modes, Then they add deathmatch to ranked. I win that with MVP but it does not count towards the tour of duty…

Again this gears team does not care …

So you’re complaining because you can’t win a FFA, right.

Well, lucky for you it’s only 3,000 coins so you’re not missing much.

Also it states “Win a Versus match in every ranked mode” not just 4. So even if they added TDM as a medal you would still be in the same situation.

The point is he/she want’s the medal as do I but not everyone is good enough to win.

top 3 should be considered a win(for the Medal). thats the way CoD tallies wins for FFA in their daily objectives

I’m not really a big PvE player, so I won’t be getting the Medal for completing all Operation 4 Hives on Master. Which means I wont be getting the 5,000 Gears Coins for completing that Medal tab.

But I wouldn’t create a thread complaining about this. I think it undermines the people who put in the time and effort to accomplish that, something I’m not willing to do as I kind of dislike how TC has done PvE in Gears 5. Hence why I don’t really poke my head into PvE based threads.

This guy could wait a week or two and allow the higher skilled players to progress so he can then have an easier time with generally lower skilled players. I’m sure going by some of the other questionable threads this guy has created complaining about his teammates that he could could eventually win a FFA.

Remember ranked is supposed to be a competitive mode, it’s not for everyone. Just like how some medals for Horde and Escape as I’m not a big PvE player aren’t for me. But I don’t expect TC to remove the challenge to get them because I can’t be bothered to work for them.

A lot of PvE focused players already have an easy out for PvP because of Co op vs A.I, which is basically boosting. It’s only ranked specific Medals, which aren’t many and it’s only 3,000 Gears Coins anyway that PvE people miss out on. There’s a lot more PvE focused Medals opposed to a single tab of ranked and you can get carried in all of them excluding one medal for FFA.

Besides it’s harder to find a FFA than win one, last FFA match took me 28 minutes to find even at the most populated times.

Unless you’re a completionist I don’t see this as an issue and I hope TC don’t make all ranked Medals a walk in the park as I’ve noticed they’ve been getting easier and easier through the Operations.

All medals should be obtainable by anyone. None of them should be based on individual skills in FFA for obvious reasons. The fact that you don’t care about it doesn’t mean no one else should.

Also, a post about his is completely justifiable as we all paid for this game and have a right to voice our displeasure about things we don’t like.

I’m still trying to get that medal and as @goodacre said, finishing in the top three would be acceptable.

The medal for Mastering Escape Hives needs to be reduced to Experienced difficulty then.

FFA is literally all about individual skill.

Not disagreeing, and my response does exactly this.

It would be acceptable but currently it requires you to win a FFA not just come third out of eight players.

To be honest i don’t really care that much either way, it’s a single medal and it awards a generic in-game currency which is already very easy to obtain. There’s a lot more PvE related medals that are probably a problem for PvP players and take far longer to get. One medal that requires a bit of time and skill for PvE players to achieve shouldn’t be a problem to cry about.

A simple solution would be to remove the Ranked specific tab and make all PvP medals possible in every mode.
I’m sure PvE players would find a problem even with that though.

For me, I would simply like to obtain all medal in a single season. Some people want it for every season. Its just a personal goal for some of us.

I would too, but for me that would mean TC would have to make changes to Escape.

If anyone who had Mastered all these Escape Hives told me that i would have to put some time and effort into doing these medals to obtain them and that they would feel cheated if the difficulty was lowered so someone had an easier time completing them because they weren’t skilled enough to do them i would completely agree with them.

I don’t expect TC to lower these medals requirements because poor me can’t achieve them, but when it comes to PvP medals TC are very quick to make them easier. But as i said i’m not really that bothered as it only rewards Gears Coins, if it was a unique skin then i would want it to still be a win and not just top three to get the medal.

Never argued that and i don’t see the point you’re trying to make by pointing that out.

Every Hive can be Mastered by a single player or a full team, as long as the player is skilled enough.

And we’re talking about FFA, so winning a game type based on individual skill makes a lot of sense.

yes that’s is to be expected with those Master level runs on Escape. but this one win is not on par with the three other wins in KOTH, Gridiron, and 2v2 which are a 50% chance.

There’s a bunch of PvE medals that aren’t on par with some of the harder PvE medals.

Should those be brought down too so their more obtainable for people who aren’t as good at PvE?

And just saying it’s to be expected for Master Escape runs doesn’t mean anything.
In fact i can just say the same with FFA, it’s just to be expected, deal with it.
But then people who can’t get a win in FFA would get upset wouldn’t they.

im talking about the one Ranked Medal for wins. 1 out of those 4 wins is much harder.

I know, but why should PvP medals be brought down and made easier when PvE medals remain the same even though they have the same issue.

that Ranked section should have had more difficult Medals to balance it out. I don’t even bother with the Master stuff but I had the Ranked section done in no time.

now that I think about it the entire Medal section, besides the Escape/Horde section could have been padded up. now that Coin is all we stand to lose out on there’s no real downside to skipping a few.
