Has this always been a thing with Keegan/JD or is it just the Scions on The Line being weird again?

As far as I know this has been a thing since launch, and a great nuisance on Gauntlet runs before they changed the first encounter to only have one Bastion and various other buffs to classes and changes to enemies.
Aka Torque Bow headshots don’t appear to count as explosive damage.

It’s always been that way. When it comes to explosive bleed classes like Demo, Tactician and Gunner, if they are not going to one shot headshot enemies like Scions and DR-1, I found it better to do body shot bleed instead for more damage. For Marksman and Veteran, it’s better on headshot instead.

Did anyone else notice that if you get tagged with a Torquebow by a Hunter and kill that Hunter before the explosion you won’t go down?
You sure about this? The bleeding seemed really weak on the Mulcher.
And yeah, in the end we brought a Fahz, not worth the trouble without one.

I felt like active headshots with torque were doing more damage than a body shot with bleed against the scions.

Yeah, I agree the torque bow bleed should go hand-in-hand with the headshot, instead of trying to catch a collateral lol

Am I wrong, or the arrow explodes far behind enemy? And Demolition guy and Tactician have bleeding damage from explosion damage?
For me its simple and clear that torque arrow is a ballistic projectile, so if it isnt stuck in enemy body, it doesnt explode on it. There is no chance to initalize bleeding by explosive damage, if you did only ballistic damage.
Interesting…I got a headshot with the Torque Bow on the first Scion in The Gauntlet yesterday and wondered how it merely just did damage despite me being Demolition class with level 6 Razor Hail.
Good to know it wasn’t just my bad luck.
