Maybe they should have done the players a solid and released a tolerable game. It’s a lot more justifiable to buy content for a game that isn’t a disaster that’s intentionally starved of said content in the first place.
You’re not doing them a solid, you’re supporting a garbage business practice. They don’t know or care about you outside of being a statistic proven to pay them off.

I feel ya’. It’s a damn shame. I haven’t even bothered to touch the game ever since the Halloween update came because I knew they were pulling some shady sh*t like this. Something always has to have a price tag on it with ol’ TC. They can’t even give us a complete skin set to earn for free during a holiday. They just want us to empty our wallet for the weapon skins that we actually give a footin’ HOOT about. I’m over it, and I won’t be playing Gears 5 for a while. I’m all burnt out on the game and I’m only 60% through the ToD and 30% done with my first totem.
And my dad was pretty neat. He lent me his SNES back when I was a young’un and I never gave it back to this day. That’s my MKII and DK Country now!

But yeah, it’s unfortunate. It’s a hard pill to swallow knowing that all of these Halloween skins and the two character skins would have been free in 4 via Credits or the Event(s).

I know the feeling. To me the last straw was when they put Grace, which is a character that not only is a skin character but one with particular ultimate and skills to use in horde, behind a paywall. I really really thought they wouldnt go the route of P2W model and here we are. I stopped playing ever since I found out about it. I cant get behind a game I find there is not treating its consumers fairly. That is why I left

I think I have been way happier with this game than many people on this forum, but yeah I have to agree this was very scummy. Either put up a complete set as rewards, or put the entire set in the store. Half-assing it in this manner will only lead to disappointment and rage.
