Picking out the most popular weapons for the seasonal skin to sell separately on the store, and giving away the less popular ones, is indeed a pretty scummy tactic they need to stop and apologize for immediately. I mentioned this in my feedback to them in that pinned “A Message…” thread.

This is the problem with monetization that is too aggressive - it sours the player vibe around the game, and makes it feel more like an adversary that is trying to lift your wallet when you’re not looking, versus something you might be happy to a kick a few bucks at on a new skin here and there, because you’re happy about everything else.

This is a $60 product, and a flagship console exclusive for Microsoft. There’s no justification or sense in how inelegant and heavy-handed the monetization is, and I’m saying that as someone who is theoretically fine with a store that sells skins, if handled properly.

Keeping up the nickle and dime practice while their game dies seems like a great strategy.

I think I’ve fluctuated between disappointment/frustration with a constructive outlook, and just holding TC in contempt.

I was not ripped off. They are really cool artistically and flicker like a candle in the dark. I am really into Halloween stuff so I really wanted em.

Thats cool that your into Halloween but that doesnt mean TC isnt ripping people off. Charging $72 for a complete weapon set is a rip off. Charging $45 for a complete weapon skin set is a rip off. Charging people $5 for an execution that another weapon already has is a rip off.

So you might not feel you were ripped off with your purchase, TC is ripping people off and I will not support that. I want to give TC some of my money but its ridiculous
