I’ve been playing unmodded fallout 4 to give myself a challenge lately. I still log into Gears 5 to do dailies and play a bit of escape for fun. Most of the people I play with have either dropped out entirely or play versus only so Im stuck either by myself or with 1 or 2 others and it’s just not as fun as it was with full groups.
Since I got the dollar deal for Gamepass, I figured might as well try a few games and get something out of it. I’ve fired up Outer Worlds and Dishonored 2 a few times, but haven’t finished either story. Gotten pretty far in OW, though, 50% I believe. I guess I could recommend it when it goes down to $15 or so. Nails that Fallout/ Mass Effect feeling, but doesn’t quite feel as genuine as they did.
Doom Eternal has made me realize even more what hacks TC is
I dont know if you are serious or sarcastic, but both my son and my wife are big players of Animal Crossing, and my son loves super mario (recently got him the 3d pack… Waiting for 3d world/land to come out on thr switch in Feb!
These days i am switching towards super mario maker 2 (we have 3 Switches at home, haha)
He isn’t being sarcastic, animal crossing is his one true love.
For me, it is the actual game play… In versus movement abd weapons tunings… In horde, the character imbalances and hugely expensive to upgrade cards and to buy ingame perks.
Im seriously giving a thought into buying one of those nintendo gadgets… I’m really thinking into returning to play Mario Bros.
Totally serious. I have 750 hours in my Animal Crossing New Horizons game, all active play.
This is REALLY old now and I don’t have it on my island anymore, but I made this thread a while back:
I got all 120 power stars in Super Mario 64 less than 24 hours after 3D All Stars was delivered to my doorstep.
Mario!
that’s awesome!
My wife, my son, and my wife’s two daughters (from first marriage) all play animal crossing , they love it. They were very bummed out how nintendo did the current one, with only 1 island per box, lol, that’s partially why we got a second one, so my son and wife had their own islands (I’m SURE that was the intent behind this move by Nintendo, worth of TC, I think
) . Then I got one for myself, I love playing SMM2 levels, built a few myself and uploaded, nothing really impressive, I’m a beginner. I watched a few streams from barb and pepenga , those guys are CRAZY with their levels, hahahaha…
I really like the 3D themes, and the WiiU - not a fan of the older ones (I never played them, so I have no emotional connection to those)…
Anyhow, how about that G5, eh, crapping game!! (had to keep it on topic otherwise @GhostofDelta2 might delete it, for not about Gears
)… LIke if I was to complain how I am now on my FOURTH Series 2 elite controller because they all GO BAD WITHIN 2-3 MONTHS!!! Awesome product, MS, really…
Anyhow… We want better drop rates in Horde cards!! There, back to Gears
I bought my wife the Special Edition Switch, and I got myself a Lite. We stayed up until midnight on release night to play it. Told my 65 year old mother about it, who also owns a Switch but doesn’t have a whole lot of games to play about AC and she is SO. ADDICTED.
Good family fun!
Never seen that, but legit laughed and smiled the whole time!!
When it was released I had been playing all the Tomb Raider games so I was burned out on treking through snow and sand which is over half of what Gears5’s campaign is. All traveling and minimal action in the snow made for a dull game.
Several times I’d wake up either at a death screen or just bouncing off of stuff in circles because the game bored me to sleep.
I did find those sections of the campaign quite tedious. But campaign isn’t what people are playing at this point in the games life, right?
Is MP really that different? I missed out on 4, so going from 3 to 5 everything just feels improved to me.
I agree on the issues with Horde but I’m enjoying it personally. My biggest gripe with Horde is, and always has been, their approach to difficulty.
I tried PSO-2 but that only gave me nostalgia to return PSO-BB. So i went back a private server and im having lots of fun.
I still playing Gears 5 at least 45 minutes at day to avoid lose the “Practice”.
When games were so simple yet so fun. There still are games like that but most games follow into the idea of having many different game mechanics.Super Mario was and still is the most simplistic and fun game out there.
(Music in the vid was 10/10)
Gears4 versus was about 20 steps back from Gears3 at launch. (Lack of variety, clunky controls, damage inconsistencies, gun fire from the back of elbows gnashers loaded with blanks and imagination, 1 shot down hammerbursts, updates/kill trades galore, etc)
It took TC about 2 years post-launch to get versus feeling right and smooth.
Then Gears5 drops, TC unlearned from their mistakes and it’s like running 40 steps back in quicksand from the abysmal gameplay at Gears4’s launch. Things haven’t improved a great deal and the netcode/connection/lag issues have never come close to being resolved.
They dedicated too many resources to esports and rushed the release before the game was even close to ready.
Thanks for that.
To be honest, the more I learn about 5, the more I realise it isn’t good. I realise I miss Gears 3s roadie strafing sooo much, and I understand now why people are calling 5 muddy etc. because there are delays on actions all over the place.
You are realizing it isn’t good because you are downloading the negative opinions of others. Your first take, man this is some cool ■■■ butter ■■■■, is the unbiased, and likely correct opinion.
