@OP: So people play and LOVE a game for 5 years, 10 years, maybe more and when they get so frustrated about it’s “evolution” that they are quitting you come along and tell them they are not even allowed to say so?

I am not a quitter, the game still rocks. But I am frustrated, too about the ■■■■■■ shape it is in. So I can relate why people get so pissed that they quit.

If you don’t want to see so many quitter posts ask TC to fix their crap.

Oh and you wasted more of my time with your wine, trying to make people shut up about their legitimate opinion than they did.

Gears 5 is a good game no matter if people want to admit it or not, even those who say I’m done with gears know very well they ain’t, even if they did leave they’d go crawling back, there’s no point on saying to everyone that they don’t want to play any more, just don’t play, I stopped playing black ops 4,i didn’t tell everyone, plus you have wasted your own time, no one told you to read anything on this post or did they tell you to comment, that’s on you

Whilst i can agree with you there, i have to say, i think it is right if a person wants to say, they are done, as long as their reasons are valid.
You see, complaining, saying your piece and crying rivers is, in most situations used to improve the game. Mostly.
People are leaving because of the state of the game, i too am one of those players that sometimes thinks, this game is ■■■■, i am off. But, i just have a break, come back in a month or in Eight.
I am a Horde player, i have been saying since Gears of War 4 that if you make a Class system, then that is what you make. For example, Gears of War 4 Horde, the Scout and Engineer should have been important characters in the game, indespensable, the Scout collects Energy and dumps it, is and only character to collect Energy. The Engineer is the only one to build and repair, incidently only one to move the Fabricator too, and an option to lock down Fortifications. These characters were not used to their full potential, and were actually devalued.
In Gears 5 Horde, the Engineer has had an upgrade, but it is not enough, the same issue is there again, the Engineer is devalued, slightly, and worse still, Horde is built around Jack and the Forge, Energy has been stupidified and Taps created to fill in the gaps. The Scout has been devalued as a Scout.
Horde has been ruined, but i will not leave, so instead i will have breaks, use harsh language and eventually return.
Critique the game, complain, or it will never be fixed. Yeah, these post can be annoying, but needed.

I care what the community says, it tells me if I should boot up the game, they inform me with the raw truth on the state of the game. I can filter out the extremists so can get an accurate estimate of the game. And based off all of the posts saying “im done with gears” I continue to turn on CoD: MW, Star Wars, etc. Now, when I start seeing posts like “GEARS IS BACK”. “ITS BETTER THAN GOW 3”, “THIS IS WHERE GEARS SHOULDVE BEEN AT LAUNCH”. then and only then will I know gears is back. I dont think anyone is really leaving gears, I think what people are saying is, Ill be back when gears is fixed, you guys should do the same. I dont take it personally when people are passionate and show that they care about the game.

This is a really silly way to gauge how to spend your time.

I don’t take it personally when people are passionate about the game. There’s been a hundred different feedback threads, and there will be a hundred more.

I think it’s humorous and eye-rolling, when people do so via melodramatic threads letting everyone know they are done and why, as though their specific criticisms are just too important to go in a simple feedback thread. They are leaving, don’t you understand?! This is serious business, requiring it’s own thread!

Maybe every single Gears player who stops playing the game, should all come here, and we can have thousands of individual threads, all self-importantly letting TC know why they are done with the game. Making sure every word really drips with morose condescension and po-faced sadness.

It’s right up there with the self-righteous people who think their words and opinions matter more, because they’ve been a Gears player “since '06”, in terms of sheer comedy value.

I dont see it so critical like you, but everytimes a new thread, that is to much, that´s right. One thread and everybody can write his own opinion. But I must say, that the most points the players criticize are wreally true. It´s not that they just write something which is completly false. TC have a lot of work in front of them to make a wreally good game. And The claim should be a wreally great Gears OF WAR, only playable or not good not bad should not be the claim.

Just keep playing the game and don’t worry about all that negativity then, because it won’t end and it is present in almost every high-profile game released these days. Gears 4 had tons of complaints on the forum all the way until the release of 5 almost.

Just saw a Tweet from Playstation about the new COD game and how it was their #1 downloaded game, and the Twitter replies were almost nothing but people bashing the “broken” game, yet it is currently the most popular game on console. It is what it is man, that how the internet works unfortunately.

Yeah, a lot of people was excited about the new COD and when it came out I seen and heard a lot of people complaining about it, its one of those things, there’s always people who complain, the companies can’t make everyone happy, I haven’t played the game yet so I can’t say anything about it

I’ve ACTUALLY been done with gears. Haven’t loaded it up in months. The game is trash. I’ve stated my reasons, and posted them in the games store. Several times cause they keep removing it. The games bad. And before you give the ol “y do u stil com her n post den”, it’s because I like checking in every few weeks to see it’s still a mess. I called it before launch.

People who loved to play this series are annoyed by the latest instalment, it’s because of love of this game they are telling TC to please fix it but TC is not getting it right even after some fixes it is still broken,

Gears is aesthetically pleasing, but it is not a good game.
Bugs /Glitches in Versus and Horde that actually hinder gameplay, does not make this game good.

As much as we want this to happen, it sucks to say that the hero system is here to stay for now. I haven’t played a complete horde match for about 3 months now and probably never will again. The only time I play horde is to complete daily objectives for tour of duty. I only focus on elimination based objectives or kill x amount of enemies as (insert character name here). That’s it. No way I’m going to complete an objective that requires me to complete x amount of waves on insane. I could do it, but prefer not too. I’ll just reroll it. Hopefully for Gears 6 they go back to the class system for horde.

Well, two things: 1, I got Game Pass Ultimate to get Gears 5 early (and may play Phoenix Point before returning to Game Pass on console), and 2, I would be happy if we stuck with the Gears 3 style of Horde. I feel like Gears 2’s Horde, while a decent first attempt, wasn’t completely fleshed out. Horde in Gears 5, as is, is dumbed down to use the hero system. (Also, how can you spawn a holographic ammo crate full of actual ammo, for example?) Gears 4’s Horde 3.0 was too complicated, as it became which class was better than trying to survive as a team.

At this point, any horde from the past games is better than 5’s in my opinion. I enjoyed playing as the sniper especially in Gears 4. Popping headshots left and right along with explosive headshot to kill any nearby enemies. Also, no restrictions like duplicate characters or locking classes behind specific characters. No restrictions from buying any weapon from the fabricator. It could’ve been more fun if there were more enemies though. Every wave was predictable. I do agree with having a Gears 3 style horde. That was fun too. I miss the locust in horde.

Maybe, we could have Locust, Swarm AND Deebees, but it’d have to be with the Locust’s source code from the UE campaign, as opposed to just reskins, like in the Terminator: Dark Fate event (which I participated in just for the banner).
