People are frustrated with how the game is and want to be able to express that. But I agree with your point of view as some of it isn’t constructive at all. But it’s important none the less imo. I myself haven’t been playing 5 and have been playing 4. 5 was a big let down imo. This was supposed to be good and for some it might be, But for a lot of us it’s not. #makegearsgreatagain

I agree with you wholeheartedly, in the sense that people should be able to voice whatever it is that comes to mind. I just wish that people were able to express it better than your typical “I’m done with Gears, that is all!”, or “I hate this because I hate it, that’s it!”, especially when creating an entire thread announcing their departure.

People make these kind of threads and posts because they couldn’t be more disappointed with the direction of the game, mistake after mistake, bug after bug, mediocre skin after mediocre skin (unless they’re premium) and just the entire cluster… truck that’s called Gears 5 in general. They don’t do that to troll you or annoy you but because they hate seeing what this franchise has turned into.
I actually stopped playing but I still check these forums every now and then because I care about this franchise as I have for the last 13 years and probably will for the next 13. This is just one entry of the franchise and hopefully TC stops being such degenerates so everyone can enjoy the next installment without all the nonsense this game has been plagued with since launch (like using 3 or even 4 as a blueprint instead of throwing everything out of the window just to name an example).

You won’t be seeing them much anymore since even those people have given up on these forums. It has gotten to the point of completely abandoning the franchise completely.
With the disappearance of them, comes a new wave of people who will settle and accept mediocrity.
Remember people HATED cod ghosts? Now it is beloved.
That is how time changes things.
Those “I’m done” posts always made me smile because that meant people were still burning with passion for their favorite game. They wanted more out of it. Demanded more.
Now, even the forums will celebrate the destruction of what once was “our” game.

Ive been a fan of gears of war since day 1, there’s been some things that I haven’t been keen on through out the series but I’ve never gone on the forum and said that I’ve had enough and I’m giving it up after all the years I’ve stuck with the game and will probably always, I never went on forums and said it but I’ve said before with other games that I’m not playing anymore, do you think I actually quit playing that game, no I didn’t plus I was a kid when I used to say things like that, it’s the kind of thing that kids say
I gave up after the 1st season. Got general and called if good. Go ahead and check my stats. Haven’t played since. It’s not about popularity or anything like that. But I don’t understand posts like yours. The “if you don’t want to play then leave” posts. You should be advocating for people to stay. You realize the lower the population, the more likely it is that TC is shut down, right? The more likely Gears does, servers are shut off, MS loses interest. As the population does, which it is… and if you think it’s not you aren’t paying attention, as the population dies, so does Gears. You should be asking “why are you leaving, what could be done to keep you?”, not pushing people out the door. You’re signing your own death certificate that way. It’s amazing how many people think that video games and servers and studios can stay supported and open because of the 14 people that play the game… grow up. You need a community. This isn’t an army of 1.

Well, if this is the only point, what you have to criticize in terms of Gears 5, than congratulations!
The players, who say that there are stop playing Gears 5, they dont only say “I´am done”, they say WHY they are done with this game. They say what´s wrong with it in their opinion and that is exactly, what this makes to a forum! And everyone who has paid for this game have the right to say, whatever he or she thinks.
When you not want to hear it, than not read it! I only read the posts, which are a little bit intresting for me. And I have to say: That´s a wreally good way.

Like other replies, I think players should say their bit, but in a constuctive manner. Comment like “Gears 5 sucks I’m out” are pointless imo. So are comments like “this is the best Gears yet”.

Definitely, but when you pay a lot of Money for this game or your anticipation was wreally big before the release and than TC bring out a game, what is completly broken and after a few months the game still have huge Problems, well I can understand those People who say, that they are done with it.
If this is a joke, yeah good joke, if you mean it serious…well…than I´am happy for you, that you can have so much fun with this…yes…we call it a game.

Fully agree, I gave up after ToD1, could not be doing with more of the same grind.
I love this franchise but you can not ignore the drop in community, just looking back from when I joined the game in G2 , forums in G3,Judgment, G4 and now G5 so many have exited but not the same level have entered.
you wonder if its just a matter of when lights out and lock the door behind you time.

To answer the thread I have no problem with members expressing their frustrations, anger and reasons why they are quitting, as long as its not offensive they are entitled to their opinion like we all are.
