I agree they should sell more unique things in the store instead recycling pre existing things. I also don’t have a problem with them selling skins and what not .

I think the fact that the store is on a weekly/daily content rotation is stifling the potential quality of the items we get. The item availability window + potential exclusivity is part of the incentive to make people want to spend money now rather than later. But this is no doubt dampening their ability to churn out more desirable things I’m sure they’re saving for special windows where they’d get the most in return.

Personally think the items placed in the store should be constant, feel like that’d be the more honest way to do this. We’d most likely get less junk since the items added to the store would have to be just as good as the ones that pre exist.

Paying $5 for five detailed and animated skins is not a big deal, allowing people to buy an execution that is already free for another gun is.

You make no sense. You’re ok with one microtransaction but not another one. So you are fine paying for a skin for the lancer while free for the boom but not ok with having to pay for an execution for the Bolton while free for the snub…makes no sense but whatever

It makes lots of sense to be bothered by it, actually .

Unique skins can hold some value, whereas default executions that were in the game since launch hold almost none.

Its really about the quality of the content. 5 dollar skins should feel worth it, and give the player something satisfying. Rehashing the same execution just holds no value

It’s not hard to understand, I never changed my stance. If you want to disingenuously claim I’m okay with all micro-transactions and everyting about them then you’re allowed to live in that fantasy world.
At least once on these forums I said the shop content should be reduced in price.
I still think the shop should exist and I understand and support developers seeking additional revenue streams so they can continue to develop and add new content to a product people are enjoying. That still doesn’t mean “anything goes”, what they’re selling should be of equal value to what the player receives.

You’re trying to strawman and claim we have the same argument when you’re upset that you have to pay for something added to the game while my problem is paying for something already present in the game.
Your issue could be applied to anything in the shop, mine can’t.

Speak for yourself, OP. I’ve been losing sleep over not being able to use this specific execution with my boltok pistol. Now the option’s available and I can finally rest. Be grateful or don’t buy it.

This is probably one of the most disgusting things TC, or Gears of War, has ever done. The execution is already IN THE ■■■■■■■ game! You can use it for free with the snub pistol - they’re the same ■■■■■■■ thing. It should already be on the Boltok!

I really, really hope they don’t get away with this one. The same way EA, Activision, and Bethesda have been rung out for their MTX BS, I hope happens to TC. This is highway robbery.

What’s worse imo is the stomach kick animation. Look at the motion of the executor. It looks… snappy. As if they’re very constipated. Not fluent at all

But, don’t buy it if you don’t like it. It’s as simple as that. If you hate the items in the store then it’s a win win right? No temptation to buy something due to it looking bad, and as such no reason to complain about microtransactions

It’s a classic way of companies to make money off the people who will buy almost everything in the shop. CoD did it with ww2 and people still spammed lootboxes even though most of the emotes were the same but with different names. its wrong on so many levels

At least the one boltok execution in the shop was unique. The one where you hip fired into the body several times shooting off limbs. That was different and I was a little upset the only way to unlock that was in the shop but at least it wasn’t a reskin of an existing execution for another weapon.

All this executions should be free … I remember back in Gears Of War 2 you needed certain amount of kills with every weapon to unlock the execution, why you need to pay to do it now? lmao! this is just stoopid :rofl::rofl::rofl:
