I respect what you said. And I can’t speak for everyone else. But what is upsetting me so much is not the skins or anything like that.
It’s the simple fact of just bold face lying to your fans. It’s the same equivalent of me offering you a new position, announcing it to the office of your new position. But on the day of your new start, I give it to someone else and I act like I don’t even care about it.
This is where I am coming from. Again I can’t say for everyone else.

Believe me, I get it. I completely understand why people are upset. I’m glad for everyone that wanted them exclusive got their wish.
But my main point is that it is absolutely NOT like your example.
If you were to offer me a new position, which would have an affect on my life such as more money, better benefits, etc. and then you take it away, you have literally negatively effected my life and my family’s life.
If TC takes away some of my Gears Coins, or if they make some skins that I grinded for available for the masses, I can still put just as much food on the table, buy as much health insurance, etc.
The two aren’t even close, as I hope you’ll agree.
People are freaking out over a weapon skin in a video game. Yes, it was a crappy move for them to even try. Yes, it is bad customer service. But it wouldn’t have killed anyone if they went through with it.

All the people coming in here with the excuse that you had other commitments or some other perceived barrier to access are a sad commentary on the culture nowadays. You are not entitled to anything that you did not put the work in to receive. Many of the players that went through the difficulty of jumping through these limited time hoops also have their own responsibilities that they juggled to make it happen. If you chose to do something else during that given time I am not entitled to reap the benefit of your labor, nor would I want to. If you truly wanted these skins you should have buckled down and made it happen like so many fans did.
For TC to release these skins it’s an injustice not only to the players that previously received them, but also to those that would benefit from it now. You did not work for them, nor do you have any appreciation for the challenge completed to receive them. It reinforces your ideology that everything should be yours simply based on how much you want it rather than whether you have earned it.

Well, again, we ARE agreeing. They should have never tried to do it if they said it was to be exclusive, 100%.
But if they DID do it… it’s still just a video game. It’s not nearly the life and death situation that some folks in this thread are making it out to be <— my overarching point.

Yup, text sucks for tone. That’s why we need to party up and you can show me some speed run techniques to level up my characters to 20 really quick, and you can hear my buttery smooth North Carolina accent to get a proper tone to read my stuff in

I am angry! I have grinded for things. Heck I payed cash money for skeleton. Suit kait!! Cash! Then everyone got her for free. I missed out on black phantom. Then you tell me u can buy it if you want it…couple kids throw a fit and you take it from me! Where is my 9.99 back for Kait then?
I hate when people equate Gilded challenges to holiday skins as if they’re the same thing.

I am calling them out! It’s complete bull and you know…i was furious about the kait skin and I got over it! My best friend and I were so happy to see the black phantom (I mean he has a job wife and 3 kids) now I have to tell him they took it back! Nice TC…real nice!
