There isn’t a specific movement I’m aware of, but I will be 100% pushing for it.

I encourage all who truly love Gears to take the stand.

It’s the only way at this point.

I had tried the beta playlist when it was first put up and I didn’t like it at all. I just tried it again and it’s even worse than I remember.

Corner camping + bot walking is META now.

Wall bouncing, using various weapons quickly and moving in general is punished.

Roadie running is worse than running in mud. It may as well teleport me backwards every two steps with how slow it is. In both matches I played tonight I found the majority of players camping back rather than moving around. Not using Lancers but rather waiting for me to push so they could Gnasher me.

I tried to give it another chance and the only thing that I can take away from it is that it’s worse than I remember. I had initially said I wouldn’t play it in this state. I can now reaffirm that stance.

I personally think the tuning right now is really good I do not like the slowing down of everything at all and I really hope that this tuning can be taken out they say they listen to us but I have seen the overwhelming majority not like this tuning update and yet they still do it. I play gears everyday but I am going to move on if this isn’t reverted in a few days the game very slow and boring and takes less skill to play with this tuning.

Excited for the new tuning. Wall Bouncing with the speed accelerations changed Gears for the worse made it less tactical and less overall skillful.

I think game needs further changes like less delay on evasive rolls to side directions, faster strafe, less delay firing out of run, and etc.

Those play styles didn’t make it less skillful. If anything it made the skill gap even larger. Anyone can “bounce” in random directions and look as if they’re having a seizure. But it took a truly skillful player to be able to bounce efficiently and hit their shots while doing so.

OG Gears was good but it definitely didn’t take more skill than the faster movement of Gears 4/5. It took a different kind of skill but not more.

There’s nothing wrong with preferring less movement though. You’re entitled to your opinions as are the rest of us whether we agree with you or not. But I’m on the side of those who dislike this tuning. I’d rather never play this franchise again than play this slow and sluggish gameplay. But that’s me.

You are right OG Gears and 4&5 take different skillsets all hard games to master. I feel old tuning took some less skill because it reduced the importance of too many other things like hardaiming, strafing, holding good positions, and etc in favor of heaviy favoring wall bouncing cancels. Making mistakes had became far less punishing because of speed boost and air back A . I am an OG Gears player so I have different lens of view compared to newer gen players. Gears 5 at launch might seem more like my cup of tea because it was slower but i greatly preferred OP5 tuning because aim asisst plus bullet magnetisum was out of control at launch.

With speed boost gone not sure they would need all the changes they made to attempt balance playstyles that was my biggest problem tbh. I would hope they speed certain things up like rolling being garbo and roadie run delay maybe even run itself. I think there is room for speeding Gears up without leaning heavy into exactly how it was done before here.

Sorry the new changes will ruin your experience and others. I want us alll enjoying and playing Gears

I imagine there’s some level of complexity, and I could be wrong about this, but maybe there’s a limited amount of space in the store tabs. Not making excuses for them, just speculation. They aren’t exactly transparent.
Doesn’t really excuse the plethora of promotional packs that are never going away or that we only get one Chrome Steel skin per 2 (3?) weeks. They could at least address this request, or does it fall under that naughty “future content” veil?

I’m holding out hope that he and Winter Armor Fahz are coming to the store as mainstays sometime soon.
Although the only time that seems appropriate to update the store’s content (that doesn’t change weekly) would be around the time of an operation transition.

Can someone clear this up for me?
Are the tuning changes for versus only or is it all multiplayer modes?

It SHOULD be Versus only but knowing TC they’ll manage to screw something up or make already mediocre weapons(at best) even worse in PvE by some PvP specific weapon changes.

What changes do you think will come and will it be retrospective?

Hold on, hold on… all the efforts I’ve put in to try to get a faster swap between weapons ( like in Judgement) have been overly ignored in favor of people that want a slow steady game? What’s next? Bot walking mode with wall bounce canceling? no-wrap shot? no back A shot? c’mon this is the end…

Weapon swap speed has been changed:

  • Primary weapons swap speed has been increased from 0.7s to 0.9s.

  • Pistol swap speed has been increased from 0.5 to 0.65s.

  • Grenade swap speed has been increased from 0.5s to 0.8s.

And then about CLAW

CLAW

  • The damage per bullet has been reduced from 145 to 80 ( this means the Claw will now require 8 body shots to down someone) .
  • The Claw rate of fire has been increased from 360rpm -> 450rpm (7.5 shots/s).

this means that I’'ll still go down in a matter of sec, what is the difference? seems nothing changed here.

High ROF with low damage is always superior to slow ROF with high damage.

Essentially lowers the skill gap when using it.

Claw just got a big buff.
