I think the most healthy move to do here from Microsoft its to give it to another developer plain and simple.

you realize that is a drastically easier thing to say than to do right? MS wouldn’t just have to hire like one new person, they’d have to hire hundreds, and all those newer devs wouldn’t be experts or anything when it comes to developing.
Microsoft are either going to do a complete and drastic reboot (they would probably make it a Free-to-Play First person shooter) or they’ll just reuse some of the same assets and such in different franchises, so imagine your exploring the wasteland in Fallout 5 and you see Locust come out of the ground, that sort of thing. Microsoft are a business, they respect their IP’s but the entire purpose of them in the first place is for profit, expect them to try new things with Gears IP post Gears 6.

what it really gets me angry , it’s that something people really care for that it is this game , still they are not receiving what they deserve that is a fun, engaging game .
perhaps its possible that Microsoft or TC only care about the big bucks but at the end of the day , ALL BETS ARE OFF if people just walk away .
and Gears 5 has really had the objective to do that and still it is doing it .
