Dizzy confirmed?
Any word on the campaign issues? I get the scrap issue but campaign NEEDS to be fixed. No one can get achievements because of this
We already agreed that @anon32088142 is on this council but we do not grant him the rank of master. Or did you mean seek counseling?
I think he means Oscar
Based on the last stream, thereâs a big Horde event coming before Op 3 and PVE in general is getting a lot of love in Operation3 as per TC.
Similar to Delta squad, I much prefer the OG homeless man.
I donât mean to wee all over everyoneâs bonfire, but when an organisation hype their own work like that, it usually never meets my expectations. But then maybe Iâm just someone with very high unattainable expectationsâŚ
I expect they will reconfig all the skill card levels, where now they go in increments of 2% after OP3 that will be increased to 3.5%. But the cost in scrap / energy will double.
Yeah they said every character is basically going to get buffed and they also said they will be addressing the ammo issue. Theyâre also looking into making Power Taps more useful. Basically they said Horde is getting sort of an overhaul.
That should make @D_A_N_III_3_L happy
you know me Link @Link23809
yes that definitely solve my problems starting with the ammo and the map scarcity
That would make EVERYONE happy⌠IF they make meaningful changes.
Serious question: other than adding level 6 cards (which they combined with nerfing the salvo into the ground) has TC made ANY Horde changes, EVER, since GoW4 launch, to BUFF ANY aspect of players, in Horde?
EVER? @D_A_N_III_3_L @Hu1k_Daddy @BChaps ?
All I remember are nerfs, reductions, removals, restrictions, limitation, cost increases, etc, etcâŚ
They buffed the Soldier class in Gears 4, on some existing skill cards(such as damage reduction going from 65 to 75%, more rifle damage for the respective skill). Beyond that any âbuffsâ were in the form of Level 6 or new skills, as far as memory serves. Like the Berserker and Last Stand skills for Heavy, or Magic Bullet and Called Shot for Sniper.
But thatâs about it. The base aspects like health for players were never touched iirc, at least not in the direction of making them higher.
Yes, sniper did get a lot of love, called shot & magic buller and explosive headshots were good new cards, like dodge for the scout
Fair enough, I wasnât thinking about new cards, I was thinking about increases, and the minor increases to the soldierâs rifle cards yeah, hardly game changingâŚ
There were no weapon specific cards in Gow4, cards were for classes of weaponsâŚ
Making cards weapon specific is just another way to get in the way or limit how you playâŚ
They really think by making things complicated & convoluted they are making things BETTER âŚ
They werenât game changing perhaps, but it did make it easier to use the class on higher difficulties with the bullet sponges. If you didnât go for a grenade build which was more effective. Took more effort to make it work compared to the other classes though, so I could see why it wouldnât have been for everyone. And eventually got a bit lame to use 50+ rounds for every single Drone type enemy too.
And I did see you werenât considering new skills or increased levels as âbuffsâ, hence why I indicated it as an additional thing. TC didnât do much in the way of buffing. They did it for the Soldier but otherwise, I donât recall much. Just nerfs to the Salvo and manned turrets. Well, something for Sentries but thatâs not a player entity so I didnât think it worth mentioning.
Ohh, yeah, salvos, turrets, sentries, sniperâs strike was modified to hit guardians into the shields (heads before) making it useless, HoD cost went up, mortar strike level 6 was useless they never fixed it, they kept changing spaws in an effort to fight speed runs to the point where some maps like blood drive were impossible on higher levels (buzz kill scions would spawn right next to your base), etcâŚ
They did a LOT of nerfing changesâŚ
Re soldier: resupply was a good cardâŚ
I did beat Blood Drive on Insane and Inconceivable several times after they severely screwed up the spawns on the map. But it was pretty much always in a very small, restricted area because everything else was just too risky to try with the enemies spawning on your heads(pretty much).
I do know of a Gears 5 nerf that annoys me to this day. Mac used to have Boltok bleed and Adrenaline Junkie at 100%. But then, somewhere mid-way through Operation 1 TC pulled a to this day unexplained stealth nerf to put both to 60%, when Mac felt completely fine. Heâs still useful but it was an unnecessary change that sometimes makes the Boltok in particular feel a little underwhelming if youâre not basically right up in the enemiesâ faces, and the bleed, again, still useful but feels a little underwhelming. Particularly when you have to hit headshots, which donât affect the bleed damage itself, to make the most of the weapon. They yet have to comment on this matter. I ainât forgetting it.
So on Feb 24, we are told that there is an event running from 18-25 Feb. Surely this is a mistake?
Probably a typo on their part as the text above Read More for the article states :
â Feb 25 â Mar 2: Arcade Double Trouble and TU 4.1â
This got added in later.
