This new Gears is absolute trash. What in the world happened to the fair play and balance online. You either get a team that is extremely stacked or you play 10 games in a row where someone on your team quits. I have never wanted to break a controller more in my life. This is my favorite game and has been an utter disappointment thus far. I wouldn’t recommend this game at all to anyone. Especially if the online portion of it is your favorite aspect of it as it is mine. Will I keep playing? Probably. But, I am writing this in the hopes that they do an update that fixes this imbalance issue. I’ve had this game for a month and played maybe 2 competitive games. In Gears 4, there was far more balance in online play and you wouldn’t being playing for a month trying to find a competitive game. Hopefully enough people feel like this to cause a change. And from what I’ve read thus far, i am not alone.

I’m still here and playing because Gears, but it is certainly the least played out of 3,4 and even J at the moment.
I dunno about Judgment that game died right away for most modes.
I feel that the numbers will climb back up once TC actually rolls out fixes for bugs and things that we want changed

Morning mate, you know I have a little spark for J, probably as I see it as dlc/companion game to Gears 3! and I do enjoy Survival and Overrun a lot. You are not wrong saying it was pretty much DOA though.
Back to 5,_as I say I’m unsure we will get “casuals” back. Us old guard will be here bit -ching and moaning of course, …but still here!
Let’s just prey they get Gears 6 right.

I feel like the same thing happened with Gears 4. People were hating it, TC fixed a few things and people started to come back.
Also Gears was always that game that the hardcore fans always stuck with it while it gets fixed
Not really, .but most horde lobbies in pubs are filled with bots…have a list full of gears players…none of which have bought it…the ones that have already stopped playing…i dont need to go into all the reasons do i?
While yes gears 5 has a ton of issues, I come from a simpler time when we just played cause the game was fun. I have to say, gears 5 is still a really fun game.
It’s unfortunate that there’s so many issues with it causing other people to not have fun with it but for me I’ve still been having a fun time. I don’t really care about new characters or the ToD or the mtx. I just get online and play. Ranks being broken does suck but I don’t really care too much about that too.
My biggest gripe is the connectivity and lobbies not working correctly and just downright being broken at times because that actually affects my ability to play the game.

Ahh, every online gamer question: “Why do my team mate quit?” I will tell you why, cause online is boring and if your team is losing, people tend to quit. So, stop complaining, man up, or just stop play and accept you monetary loss.

Unlike Judgement, I wass actually inspired to buy the second of the Wolfenstien reboots though.
