Theres a point when JD makes a call and Fahz yells that hes the ranking officer in charge and JD basically ignores him
I would also like to add to this that that whole 1st act Marcus, JD, Del, Kait, Baird, and Sam all defy Jin to bring the hammer online and no one gets punished
I really hope JD just doesn’t die man . … Marcus has had a very difficult life as it is .
Del on the other hand its ok if he dies… . couldn’t care less.I was more sad knowing that jack died than del . to be honest.

I’ve experienced that problem in the Navy. Two sailors with the same rank and both think they’re in charge. Until a higher rank steps in its just a pissing contest because neither outranks the other. It stays that way until someone steps in

I didn’t agreed with the developers ending on that matter. Jack its very important for the game.

If it was so simple Kait clearly would be perfectly fine within the COG, not having any issues with Jinn or anything else. Her past clearly does still matter and influences her decision making and how she acts/behaves, whether you like it or not.
And “soldiers doing their job” and following orders would not have given us things like Js Campaign(which basically was the entire result of Baird disobeying orders and launching the Lightmass Missile), Dom going after Maria when Marcus insisted they do the mission and get out of there. You name it.
And the whole scene at the end of Act 1 doesn’t make sense. Lizzie died because the writers decided “All the characters will suddenly be stupid!” and trying to make Lizzie and JD open a door previously jammed by a Swarmak rocket when there’s a ■■■■■■■ hatch at the roof of a Minotaur’s driver cabin which Bloodlines mentions right after that incident.
Other than getting yelled at until the conversation went to the matter of Anya/it got interrupted by Clayton reporting the Swarm started assaulting Settlement 2. But perhaps the COG chooses to not throw its soldiers behind jails now if the offense isn’t too severe due to a lower population count which would also mean having less soldiers to serve in the military. JD and Del were threatened to get thrown behind bars unless they did as Jinn told them in Ascendance though after going AWOL following the whole Settlement 2 protesters incident.
Then the Campaign of Gears 5 is the shitties ■■■■ thing! 
Bring Back Del or JD, Jack and Lizzie!!!

All of those things ended poorly. Karn didn’t die and was able to kill more people, and Dom ended up even more broken and depressed.
You can’t say that Kait’s venture ended very positively either with her unintentionally awakening the Queen.

What are you talking about lizzie doesn’t die. They all got in the trucks and drove off she’s perfectly fine, JD got scarred up in a tragic toaster accident and Lizzie took personal leave for the rest of the game that’s why we don’t see her, she’s fine. SHE’S FINE.
You may be able to deny the truth but I can’t. TC needs to be called out on the BS they pulled with that whole thing though.
And as far as I can tell JD just didn’t know how to deal with the whole protesters situation both before and after it came out. At least he didn’t commit acts considered suicidal by other people any longer after Act 1.

I just find it weird that the reasons most people bring up for hating Kait, every main character has done something similar. Also JD and Del were rewarded after the deserted the COG and joined Kait.
Its not just that JD was ignoring that Fahz was the ranking officer, its also that JD was mocking Fahz as well.
