This game sucks ■■■ everything feels empty, my controller feel like there is a input delay, if you dont just roll into a corner your already on, get rid of recoil as it just allows mouse and keyboard users to have a bigger advantage added to accuracy. Maps are absolute trash, i feel the graphics and colors are way worse, i have multiple clips of point blanking for full spread while getting zero damage. Went from being a top player in gow4 to a complete scrub bc basic movement takes a arm and a leg to achieve. Horde and escape are confusing and very solo esk with no sense of role or teamwork. And screw the halo and terminator promotion im just playing gears of halo reach where the covenant are a bunch of matte black stick bugs
I’m sorry but gears 3 had the absolute worst movement of all gears games. The shaking of the screen was terrible. The movement was way too fast. The movement in this game is great - it’s more gears 2 which is the pinnacle of gears movement. I have complaints. But movement is fine.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this. I reached level 56 or so and I’m off the game and I’m back on Gears 4. I’m not going to support a game that was dumbed down to handicap the veteran players that kept Gears alive for the past decade plus some. Gears 4 was not perfect by any means but it IS a Gears of War game at its core. Gears 5 is a complete joke of a game and a big F You to the fans. Once the hype is dead and all the new players go back to CoD/Fortnite TC will see their player base for Gears 5 is lacking because they stabbed the veteran players in the back. If you love Gears I suggest not even supporting the game with your time.
They buffed the gnasher to the point that it takes NO skill to use it. Hence why it went from 8 shots down to 6. It’s the Sawed Off 2.0 and that’s coming from someone who had no issues with the sawed off in GoW3 cause it was optional and the Gnasher was superior when used with maneuverability.
They added hit markers which nobody asked for every Gears veteran was able to tell if they landed a good or bad shot and act accordingly it was part of the skill based combat
They added the ability to see enemy placed Grenades through walls defeating the point of having a hidden grenade it’s like who asked for that feature?
They buffed the snub and lancer incentivizing the use of long range weapons and more camping based games
They slowed down the wall bouncing and made it clunky when compared to Gears 4 and 3 to bottleneck Veteran players and make it easier for new players to land shots with their no skill Gnasher
They changed the sniper reticle to make headshots easier
The aim assist is extremely noticeable in this game compared to every other Gears and the hit boxes are complete trash
They added a quick melee mode EXACTLY like Judgment which NOBODY asked for.
Then the flash grenades wtf is that?
This game is a pathetic excuse for a Gears game. If Gears 6 takes more from Gears 5 than Gears 4 or 3 I will not support Gears anymore and that’s sad cause I’ve been here since Gears 1.

I actually think there is input delay on console because I play on both PC and Xbox One X and when I play on PC (with a controller) I tend to see much faster response time with my button presses than when I play on console. This was the same problem in Gears 4 as well so I’m assuming they have Vsync on by default or something on console? Idk but I do know there is a difference.
You know what REALLY sucks is that I have 2 friends who are AVID Fortnite players that I have tried to convince to play Gears…I FINALLY convinced them by PAYING for GamePass for them…and imagine my frustration and disappointment and downright anger at the steaming load of crap that I talked them into wading through with me…Wtf did the guys at TC do to my beloved Gears…I could do NOTHING but apologize to my dudes and say THIS IS NOT GEARS… I DON’T KNOW WTH THIS IS…AND I’M SORRY…I DON’T know if TC can fix this…but I HOPE they can…right now I DON’T see how…

Some of my friends have left the game too, others went to GOW4. But you wont see TC saying nothing my dear friend.

Yeah it sucks cause I have tried to convince these guys to play it and once I FINALLY did…TC nut kicked me with steel toed boots…damn it

You didn’t have to mention Fortnite or Tim Sweeny, I was making my own point. But again, not every triple A game has to appeal to the largest group possible. The game needs to turn a profit. That’s it. It has been doing that with its core audience for nearly 15 years at this point.

The movement was great and silky smooth.
Gears 2 was absolute dreadful for movement. The whole game was a mess. Lol @ pinnacle of Gears movement. Good one.

I agree with you, the problem (apart from every bug) is the huge weapons’ damage. I would like to see every weapon reduce by 50% with this movement.

alls epic cares about is fortnite bro… dont be stupid. this game is dog meat. if there was an execution play list and wingman and 2v2 gnashers then this game would be playable. but right now it is not playable.
They added Execution back to the game yesterday.
Correct XeroShinobi however as long as theres money involved in a game and its not free, people can and will give their negative opinion about it and I dont blame them, the Game its far of being a good game at Gears of War standard.
