Honestly. It is the best that it has ever been. I have played gears since the beginning; played all of them religiously with the exception of Judgement. always been a die hard fan. Anyone who knows me can attest to that. Gears for everyone (i would assume) is like being in a toxic abusive relationship that you just cant get away from. The gears games have been the most broken pieces of s**t that i have every played (still are). But i played them out of love and enjoyed the torture. It comes with the territory. I consider myself, without a doubt, to be in the upper echelon of players. Therefore, i feel that with the blood, sweat and countless brain aneurysms that i have given to gears all these years permits me to have this opinion. GEARS IS THE BEST THAT IT HAS EVER BEEN.

The truth.

Its balanced. All weapons are effective if you know how to use it.
He/She/They did not eat your shots. You f**king missed.
The mechanics/movement are smooth when you are precise with your controls.
This match is laggy or my latency is high. Learn to Adapt.You cant have low latency every match.

Gears has always been about adaptation

The ones who constantly complain about the game or want certain things fixed (stuff within reason) are the ones who refuse to adapt.

Gears, however is still far from perfect. there is a lot that needs to be worked on. (matchmaking. servers, ranking system, crashes etc) but overall game play is on point.

Or maybe all the brain aneuryms have turned me delusional. Do you guys agree or disagree?

from my experience. When i go back and watch the clip, i missed or the shot wasnt perfect. yes, gears isnt perfect and that can happen… but when i am accurate. it registers… i honestly dont have issues with people eating my shots.

Yes you are right about that. I miss shots all the time. But there are times when I shoot the enemy point blank and get 97%-99%. It was bad when they added the % in Gears 4 but now that you can see where the pellets hit its worse because now you know you hit them

haha. i am irrelevant to them, Ive written them multiple times and have been ignored lol but no. ive complained about gears just as much if not more than anyone else over the years.

Gears 3 is the best gears has ever been. Gears 5 we have delayed movement, over sized hit boxes and auto aim.

So really this is the most casual gears has ever been.

This kills me all the time, shoot them point blank in the face, and they shoot and get me. I don’t understand it. Hopefully they will fix it soon, I definitely did not notice this issue in gears 4.

They just need to scrap the damage percentages when you die. People already call bs when they die enough as it is. The % just adds more fuel to the fire.

I disagree with this statement. The ones who want the game fixed are the ones that just want the game to work correctly as intended. No one can adapt if the game is broken to begin with. There are many topics here in the forum stating all the bugs, I would just like to see them fixed. I am speaking of Gears 5 specifically(CO-OP campaign), not the previous versions. I have enjoyed the journey from Gears of War to the current version and although I am not an online player it has been satisfying. Once Gears 5 is patched correctly we can continue the saga.

Me and a friend got stuck on the mission with the helicopter crash had to restart from check point six times. I see what you mean for sure bro. I am sure they will fix it. Eventually… Lol

What do overpowered weapons have to do with knowing how to use them? Overpowered is overpowered regardless if one knows how to use them or not.

If you say eating shots isn’t a thing, maybe you should rethink saying you played gears of war, might have mistaken it as fortnite.

Mechanics and movement are certainly not smooth. In fact - it was confirmed that they were altered to slow them down or something. Obviously it can be smooth if you control well, but up to what point?

LMAO bro the amount of times this has happened to me is unbelievable. It’s 90% of the reason why I’m complaining about this game. It’s literally broken.

The game is now bot-walker friendly… or the coding is just off :grimacing:

Every time I read this I stop reading the rest of the post.

This doesn’t mean anything. It never did, never will.

The game is objectively subpar. It’s not even up for debate.
