Have seen many around the community mourn the death of FFA. Why did they remove it? Why would they take out THE premier playlist of the game? To be honest, I personally never thought that a Free For All game mode would ever carry Gears of War.

All the community “leaders” are desperately looking for TC to come save the day. Please fix the game! We want to “gas” our stream with FFA!

It went from featured to being under the quickplay menu and now people can’t find an FFA game because of that.

How absolutely comical is that?

I would love nothing more than to see the faces of Octus, Cleven, Dana, and Rod when they figure out what is the issue.

Ryan Cleven once replied something like, “Well because we didn’t mention it,” in response to someone asking why “aim assist” (adhesion but that was when TC willingly left the community enraged and confused) wasn’t a problem in Gears 4 and now it is in Gears 5.

How about mentioning this FFA “problem” though?

Y’all outdid yourselves with this one, TC.

Let me guess, the menu shuffling is something that Bungie figured out with Halo 1 and y’all just implemented it, huh? Or perhaps we should bring in OverWatch and League of Legends for comparison, eh? Maybe take a “deep dive” and compare it with the older Gears games?

Update: The point of this was to show how TC doesn’t help themselves out even with the simplest of things. There are multiple youtubers with over 100k subs that have expressed their concern about this.

It was a “featured” playlist to bring attention to the Krampus Scion skin not because it’s new. I feel bad for TC, players can’t be bothered to look through the quickplay or ranked playlists before jumping to conclusions.

I haven’t seen many people do this, and that’s because FFA is still in the game, just it’s under the Quickplay section.

Moving it out of the spotlight might not have been the best decision, but let’s be honest, if you care enough and actually want to play it, you will find it.

The complaints for this game are reaching new lows.

Aren’t they releasing FFA ranked? If that’s the case then it would only make sense to to put the current arcade style FFA under QuickPay. no Biggie.

Go look at what the community is saying. I also clearly stated where to find FFA in bold letters.

If y’all were more aware of what is happening in the community, y’all would have taken the post in a different way.

I see that the forums may not be the place anymore.

Nowadays, a batman reference excites the community more than discussion about the game itself, which was the point of the joke.

I apologize, i thought the forums still had the same energy from a few weeks ago. But you know, I don’t see familiar faces here anymore. Sadly, they gave up on the forums too it seems.

Honestly i agree with the op. Gears has the stupidest menu layout and matchmaking. A playlist that has its own maps designed for it shouldn’t be behind quick play. It should be one of the first playlists you can see. I don’t think players are being dumb by not noticing it’s there. It is an honest mistake. Booting up the game, players are probably going to pick one of the first game modes they can see.
