The Gears Pop Community needs more help from The Coalition / MediaTonic

Brumak should give you 294 common pins across the 3 boxes.

If you’re going for player level 20, you will definitely max a Pin along the way. The probability of not doing so is pretty slim.

But yeah, those numbers/screenshots you showed proves my point that compared to what I spent in the early days, people who waited until later to buy packs were better off financially.

When I was done, I had over 9 million silver coins left over. I didn’t even need to buy the coin boxes anymore because of all the damn dupes I was getting from my purchased boxes.

With yesterday servers maintenance, I got less disconnected errors playing horde.

I had like 30 errors everyday, but for now I only had 2 errors.

But now I got Sid as a special guess on my win screen  (for my 2nd account).

(Sid is the real MVP so he deserve staying in the win screen)

Who wants to do some maths then?

If there are 19 bronze pins
I have 3 at level 17
The rest at level 16 (well I have the pins but not the coins for this)

You get 294 bronze pins for Brumak

How many more Brumak do I have to do?

Assuming an even distribution of pins
Assuming the game is clever enough to stop giving me duplicates when that pin could go to level 20 even though I haven’t true coins to make it go there.

I dont have the numbers handy but from starting the game rband new it would take approx 6300 brumaks to get all bronze pins to max (pinwise not coins wise)

Takes a bit over 2 million coins per pin, and 19 pins so 38 million.

From memory that was roughtly 47% of the way to character level 20.

The value is also currently worthless as it costs them nothing.

TC should just have everyone get 500K crystalsd and 100M coins in a pack. Done.

Even if you count that as full money, given the hours I do I would be paid at a pittance. I have been doing this for 4 and half years, and am available much more than a fulltime employee. I could have spent my time working a fulltime job and could have paid for Pop 50 times over. I also played the game ab absolute ton, I got to level 17 as a free player.

Rather than looking at me specifically, I would suggest focusing effort on telling TC what they need to do to give the achievements to players. We have seen UE get the exp fixed and the Gears 4 event skins become craftable with a great community manager and the community telling TC what they want/need/expect.

At this point, though, you’re the poster child for what needs to be done for everybody. TC handed you the completion, which is what many other people wish they had as well.

If they can do it for you, they can do it for others. I think that’s the point of focusing on you as an example.

What else can we do?

I’ve raised 2 tickets, created this thread and @TC_Sera multiple times, tweeted Dana.

Any other ideas?

Keep pointing out to them how much this matters.

Be polite but direct.

I don’t have any real power but I keep mentioning this is an issue that players want a firm resolution on, not a ā€œwe will see what we can doā€.

How though?

Tickets are just met with a generic statement they are looking at all possible options.

I get no response here.

If I created new threads it will make you have to merge them with this one.

I can add a comment every day and tag TC Sera each time?

I’m fine with being polite and direct. I just don’t know what form of media is the one that actually gets read?

Here, support tickets, twitter all get read. TC can’t respond to everything but I hope Dana addresses this on the next stream (and I will keep asking),

I literally can’t give you anything more helpful than I already have. If I had a better way to make TC listen to the community I would have freely advised of this. Sorry mate.

Not your fault Delta - I appreciate your balanced viewpoint.

So here goes again

@TC_Sera

The Gears Pop community need you

It’s this simple - gift every active player 5 million crystals and 100 million coins and we can all upgrade our pins and leave the game happy.

I’ve raised the following tickets

48070
48388
48668

Each time I’m met with a generic

We are examining achievement options for our community, and will update if any news

We need some response. Not just blanket silence.

You can try Twitter if you have it, but even that isn’t guaranteed to receive a response(or you get told that there is nothing to say for the matter yet). Either way, Sera usually appears to read posts where you tag her even if she doesn’t always respond to them(or like them for that matter).

I do just want to point out that tagging TC Sera everyday will indeed raise the issue to her attention… every. single. day. Can you imagine being her right now?

I think the proper thing to do is NOT to annoy our new community manager who has already done a ton of things to help the community out. This is has been read by her. She has had conversations with Ghost. She knows the deal.

She also doesn’t have near as much power as what everyone here wants to credit her for. She is doing her best, and Ghost’s advice of being polite and direct is good advice. But let’s not take it to the point of extreme annoyance.

Tag her if you’d like, but every day is excessive, especially if multiple people start doing it.

April 2021 is still a long ways away. Let’s give TC Sera and TC/MediaTonic a little bit of time to work on the solution, with gentle nudges along the way.

Nobody wants those annoying kids in the back of a car on a long trip screaming, ā€œAre we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?ā€

This is extremely well thought advise

Yeah I get it

Would be great if she responded and said, ā€œI’ve read it, I’m talking to them. I’ll give an update in 2 weeksā€.

Rather than nothing.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but this is an incredibly selfish statement. Just because you have reached a point of not caring doesn’t mean you should try to ruin it for everyone else (not saying you are doing that by any means).

I have also been advocating for these achievements to be obtainable for the masses, and I actually paid the money to compete it. I would have loved to get ā€œfreeā€ achievements rather than dropping cash, but that was my choice to make. And it was NOT everyone else’s choice to start a game they didn’t know would be unavailable to complete, let alone even PLAY after 1.5 years.

I guess that’s my point though… just because you can finish it, you saying you don’t care if anyone else can finish it isn’t really painting you in a good light.

I currently work somewhere that could give TC a run for their money…

TC absolutely should be communicating more about this community problem. I’m not disagreeing there. But asking for an update every single day is unreasonable.

Absolutely not true. I figured you would take my previous post personally and I certainly don’t mean to sound like I’m attacking you. I’m trying to just point out that we are all in this community together. It’s not just completers v non-completers.

I hear you bro. It’s a super frustrating thing for everyone. Apologies if I offended you. I think we just need a united front.

If many people start saying they don’t care, it could be bad. Solidarity brother!

  1. We give the response that we are looking into what can be done because literally, we are. We are comparing. Contrasting. With a bunch of people and options and plans.
  2. We are in the middle of launches and relaunches right now. I am sorry you do not like the ā€˜we are looking into it’ response, but until the dust settles around Xbox Series X|S with Tactics coming to Console and the new features in Gears 5, that’s the best response that can be given as things get worked out.
  3. This is the warning for anyone: Tagging any TC employee daily for something that a response has been sent and is currently known and being worked on should, and will be, treated as Harassment.

This is important. We know it. You know it. But important does not mean we are able to drop everything to study the minute details of making sure an achievement is achievable Right Now.

It’s in process. It’s being researched, and plans are being made.
