Hello all,

I have simply just become bored with gears, it’s simply just not fun to play and is a grindy chore imo.

I loved the franchise but now its just mediocre at best.

Anyways I picked up the division 2 for $3.99 (it’s on sale) and what a pleasant surprise.

The combat is extremely fun, the cover mechanics are pretty fun and interesting. It’s fun to play with friends and is very team based!

I think people should give it a go while it’s on sale. If you are unhappy with gears and do not enjoy it perhaps try something else until doom comes out as I dont see TC steadying this ship.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but The Division is pretty grindy in it’s own right too…

Decent enough game. I enjoyed the first game and am about a third the way into the second one which is decent so far.

Some of the gameplay mechanics are refreshing in D2, but the cover system is completely inferior to Gears. Take cover, roll, and vault are all on separate buttons, which is perplexing. Rifle play is really nice, though, and some of the settings are very nice. I’m not somebody who really likes looters, so I doubt I’ll put too many hours in. Still, definitely worth $2.99.

At the very least this should be under off topic,since even TC most likely don’t want people premoting any non gears game here.Anyways if the division was any good i’m sure it would promote itself.It sounds like your trying to divide the gears community and TC doesn’t need any help with that.

I’m not trying to divide the community, just think it is a fun game, people have been promoting Doom for months on here.

If you love the new gears great I’m happy for you, just think it’s a fun pick up and play alternative with some cover based gameplay.

It was a grindy game. I had been struggling to find something interesting but what puts me off from TD2 is the new DLC costing money like this NYC expansion thing. And the Raid having Eagle Bearer (best Assault Rifle in the game) locked behind this high difficulty from what I remember. And these Raids being 8-players using mic in party which is not friendly for non-mic players. Then there’s been many updates and contents which I’m not sure I can catch up on, since been busy on Gears. It’s a little difficult going back to games already played.
