I have had 7 crashes and 5 cases where the game would not be able to progress due the scripting breaking, While annoying and immersion breaking it was nothing a reboot would not fix but after playing act 3 for about an hour and then crashing I found all of my act 3 progress undone and I have to start at the beginning. All collectables are reset also. As someone that plays the game very slowly and explores as much as possible this is pretty unforgivable. I don’t know if I can trust the games ability to save anymore and I don’t have the energy to do it all again.

Not fixed at all , great work ruining a beloved franchise campaign is unplayable constantly not loading/saving to a point where I can’t progress and I refuse to have to do act 3 part two with that ■■■■■■■ rocket again complete and utter waste and time uninstalled will not be playing again hopefully you’ve lost yourself a few customers now with your incompetence and clearly you didn’t bother quality testing the game before giving it to your fans.

Just went on again and now all my progress is gone from the campaign no collectibles at all apparently.

I have been getting the checkpoint constantly saving which glitches out the trigger to continue. So far I’ve been able to get away with quitting to menu and continuing from most recent checkpoint, but it’s been happening a lot. Act 3 and I’ve had to do it at least 10 times.

I’m the same issues, the saving content logo doesn’t go away and if you pause the game and come back your frozen in place! And forced to quit the whole game and reboot

Yeah I broke the objectives in Act 3, I passed under the bridge only to not get an updated objective. As it turns out, you were supposed to do that before you did the turntables… which I did already. Looks like I need to restart the act.

Interesting to see so many people with the same kind of issues, was secretly hoping i was just getting super unlucky, guess not. I’ve spent more time on the forums waiting for answers to a currently unplayable game than actually playing the game, even if the multiplayer was the only problem i would of been enjoying the campaign and finding the collectables and getting achievements, but even that’s gone down the drain as nothing seems to be registering (achievements, collectables, ect)
I beat the whole game on Experienced, and achievement did NOT unlock. I checked in the menu and it confirms me having beat all campaigns on Experienced…
I tried Co-Op with a friend, it worked and suddenly kept perma-kicking me out.
Completely broken game.

Without spoiling and being as vague as possible any pointers or tricks to get past a bug. I’m stuck on a part in Act 3 where you go back to the airport with “the object” and Baird gives you the upgrade for the bot. He sits it on the table and even after picking it up he just keeps telling me to pick it up and my TacCom has a waypoint on the table and says install “upgrade name”. I’ve reloaded checkpoints, closed and reopened the game, and restarted the chapter but it still does the same thing. I’m 100% and a lock down and can’t progress. My Fiancé is bringing home some joint compound so I can fix the controller sized hole in my wall as I have struggled to get to this point due to constant bugs, crashing, and NPCs not recognizing me interacting with doors and telling me “let’s get through this door” while my character is saying “ need some help with this door over here and prying on it”

hi, I just finished the game. Unfortunately I must point out that in addition to the problem related to collectibles, I have not been recognized as having completed several campaign missions, with the consequent failure to unlock the “Discovered the True Threat To Sera” objective.
Will it be possible to overcome this problem?

I also have the same issue. No achievements for game completion. Also my collectibles are bugged. I collected every collectible in Act 3, yet at the end of the act it said I only collected 3.

My campaign is glitched too in act 2 chapter 4, when i try to use the thing to go down the ice at the end i am not allowed to do anything like, del keeps saying “is right here” “should we go down?” And such, i supposed there wasnt any thing to fix it even tried to reload the checkpoint restarting the game and everything. Nothing worked so i had to restart the whole chapter wich is really long, they have to fix that ;(

Yeah. The Gears 5 Campaign Co-Op is a mess. with Bugs, Glitches, Connection Problems.
I have been playing the Campaign Co-Op with one of my friends since Friday and still have not completed it.
We have Seen almost of all of the above Glitches etc.

So let’s see, I finally get out of the mine, at 52% by moving at a snails pace through it, and I finish everything else on the map.
Achievements are glitched, nothing is increasing no matter what I do or send Jack to pick up.
I get to the lab, and then I hit the lab door glitch. I have to reset the entire XBox and then reload the prior checkpoint to get it to unglitch.
I get through that, and now I get to the “boss fight” while chasing Niles.
And this post ends because I am so pissed off right now. Whomever thought putting those “psychotic episodes” inside of a boss fight like this needs to never program a boss fight again. I am sure I will get by it at some point, but holy crap man, this absolutely SUCKS right now.
EDIT: By reading the new replies above, I see I am also getting the “never ending” loading/saving glitch too. My logo also spins forever and I have to reboot the game to get it to stop.

are you playing Solo or Co-Op Campaign?
Solo with the useless AI. There are times Del does not even shoot during the freeze moments.

Act 3 has a lot of glitches. me & my friend finally got to act 4 yesterday on the co-op campaign but we had to stop because of the connection problems

Co-op is an idea I guess. Or I need to rethink the strategy here because I am sure there is something Jack can do here that I am missing. Has to be right? I don’t know, I need time to absorb how not to die when my screen turns red and I cannot see anything during Kait’s freak outs…
Worst Gears launch by far. Criticism is one thing, non-functioning stats and achievements is another.
