Tbh the forum is way more fun than the actual game, and this is the first time the forum hasn’t been dead since Op. 4. Great tuning, imo.

Well, I decided to give it a chance even though I did in the beta tuning. This update is great if you want time to play other games. Definitely won’t be playing multiplayer for a while that’s for sure. It’s only good for people who corner camp and bot walk all game. Horrible update I really don’t know how they even think this update is what the community wanted or even will make the game better

they say the movement looks like gears 2? I think your memory is starting to fail, play gears 2 online and you will see that it is much, much slower, and it is also more difficult to play there if you do not take a shot, gears 5 is fast or slow it will continue to be broken because the people prefer to make stupid debates if the game was fast or slow according to their memories, but they don’t see that the biggest problem with this game is the aim assist, oh by the way I move like crazy and I keep killing and taking the mvp and I have always liked it make wallbonce

I don’t mind the slower movement, all of the delays are an issue for me though.
Getting into cover and aiming is absurdly slow

I respect your opinion, but I disagree.
The delays are the only piece of this update I can say yes to being reverted. All the delays will be something to get used to, but the over the cover “pop shots” are ridiculously slow. Super noticeable.

This tuning with no triggering lag and a fairly low aim assist must be great, and a bit of difficulty to wallbonce would not be bad, having to really see the walls when bouncing and a fairly low assist would really bring out the skill , the one who makes wallbonce would lose field of vision and therefore miss more shots but it would be a more difficult target, and the one that does not move will have more field of vision and will reward with aim his lack of movement but will be an easier target
This update actually made pop shots a viable option in more close range fights, up until now they where only useful from behind cover and everything else was just hipfire bounce.
If they tone down delays, people will still be angry but after everyone gets used to it, it could become a pretty decent way to play.
Netcode is still bad, and the scorcher is too useful so could be looked into but all in all I’m a bit bored of the constant changing.
For me gears 5 has kind of run its course anyway

i see some people arguing for it and saying, “yeah is is more boring but…”
while i can talk about the specifics, i mostly stay out of such details because we are talking about a video game that people play…for fun.
all this people up in arms about what? fun in a video game.

I agree with you in many points and I agree with the nerf to the acceleration of the game, I no longer have people who run straight towards me and shoot the fool and kill me for the bust that was given to the one who moved running as if it were a racing game, however I do not like nerf some shots I think it is silly that they did it because I feel that they are attacking the problem where it is not, nor in gears 2 had I seen that it could not be shot while doing wallalbonce, the The problem that the up a are broken and other shots are broken is because of the aim assist, and now maybe the shots are slower but they are still broken, I know that he was nerfed that although before it was let’s say 100% Now it is at 75% but it seems insignificant to me, it still feels a lot like the game helps you, this tuning with a low aim assist should feel great, and a little difficulty on the wallbonce would not hurt

Yea just get rid of delays to start with. Not sure why the devs use delays to try to fix the game. Its always been a terrible idea.
