Thank you TC for the changes

I’m more than excited for OP4, I don’t know where to start, Leveling up Kait, JD, the new character, and Del in Escape, playing Horde as Clayton, or grinding for Master ranked again …
The game feels fresh again…

On paper, what I’ve heard so far sounds good. Obviously I’ll reserve judgement until it goes live and I’ve had a chance to exprience it. And hopefully bugs and glitches are to the minimal and there are no server problems as a result.

The skill cards sound very interesting. Clayton sounds like the big winner here. Ironic because I already consider him to be a very powerful support character as it is.

Keegan’s Interogation card sounds interesting, but thinking abut it I doubt it will be of that much use. Keegan isn’t a melee character by design and while it’d be useful to mark enemies on grabbing a meatshield, I can’t see this replacing any of his existing main cards although Escape score runners may find some use for this.

The COG Gear one sounds good and may make them a viable alternative to JACK, especially if sentries built by the COG Gear also count - I can see this enabling unlimited and instant revives in Horde.

Ya when it goes Live on Tuesday I expect that it won’t be perfect, but it’s a huge win for us playing Horde that we can pick our class & use any character.

Yeah, Cog Gear’s Intervention card sounds a good one to run . If it stacks with Overdoing it, that would be handy.

Who can remember the glitch where you had to play piano back in gears 3 in Depths?

Agreed, the game won’t be perfect (never will be since WE all cannot agree what perfect is) but these recent changes and new leadership have turned this game around i believe.

Even if there are some problems, this is still huge progress. I fell like they really are trying to turn the game around.

Thank you TC for listening to the community, looking forward to PVE changes coming this Tuesday😍

I think that won’t happen till OP 5.

Unless I missed something which isn’t unheard of.

I’m sick and tired of TC scapegoating Rod Fergusson… Unless he somehow did 90% of the work there is no way he was responsible for Gears 5 in any large way, my point is that it was a team effort that made Gears 5 what it was, and it is a team effort that is gonna put it where it is come Tuesday.

Regardless though OP I feel ya

Pretty sure u didnt HAVE to play the piano, only the tm that was losing would do this tho

Patch notes are coming Monday

I’m honestly surprised by the amount of changes planned. I’d love to be excited, but I learned a long time ago that what TC plans and how well TC executes are two very different things.

Leadership 101:. It’s always the leaders fault.

The leader is responsible for the team and EVERYTHING they do.

This update sounds pretty amazing, I’d imagine the file size to be over 20 GB+.

Agreed! I am really excited. It sounds like there will be a big bump in viable characters and increased collaboration (though I worry about people buying fortifications left and right to the detriment of engineers). And that the potential of the “tap” concept will finally be reached!

The difference now is…like Gears 5…TC got overhauled.

Expect great things.

You should’ve posted this on their Twitter so they’d see it.

If you watched their dev streams they definitely listen to us on the forums, though I highly doubt its anywhere near as much as it is on Twitter. I hope so TC
