Toxic much? I was a (mostly) solo TDM player and the last Op and made it a little ways past Gold. Straight into Masters actually. I never cared so much about stacks, I just figure that comes with the territory. What I did care about was the poor server quality and the terrible spawns (spawn swapping just didn’t seem like a thing on some maps). This most recent change has absolutely ruined TDM by making it significantly more campy.
It is what it is.
All we can do is get posts like this with our feedback on why we dislike the current tdm settings and hopefully a few quote voices become a large crowd of voices that TC can hear.
The 2 cap is making the game for me less enjoyable as I can’t even play with friends. I’m restricted too picking one friend a night too okay with. On top of that I then have too pray too god the two people I’m paired with have a level of understanding on the game that allows for team play and cross lancer rather than run in like headless chicken and drain all the teams lives away.
So currently TDM ranked achieving masters is near enough impossible whilst you have too win 3 games after one loss because of your teammate.
It is a team based game so any argument of solo performance is irrelevant. You need to be a good team member in your team and at the end of the day it’s about winning and helping get as much damage as possible on every team kill.

Not sure what your point is but no mode should restrict team play other than free for all. Solo players that cry about that are idiots. FFA was literally created for those players but they refuse to play it and instead want to ruin everyone’s else experience.
You literally can rank up on loses it’s like taking candy from a baby. It’s not fair every other mode is harder to rank up in. I bet you can’t get master in tdm now lol

I’d say that’s bogus and I don’t believe them but there’s quite a bit of anecdotal evidence that proves the contrary in multiple threads. I mean, whatever. I’ve been playing Gears 5 about nonstop through the seasons and ever since this update came to light I’ve come to a sudden and dire stop. I dabble around the game for maybe 10 minutes every few days or so but until they revert this sh** back to the way it was i dont really see myself playing it a lot more as is. Ive been actually grouping up with friends in other games. You know. More than one person.

Already hit masters 3x , top 100 in all of gears 5 , probably higher if you take out all the quick play warrior stats.
Highest KD as a top player in TDM ranked. I accomplished it all.

Yeah I’m half tempted to just quit too. TDM has been my main since launch. I even forced myself onto Koth last night and it just isn’t for me. What’s irritating me the most is that Koth players are the main ones that are destroying TDM’s reputation. Most of the replies i got on chat last night were ‘go play koth’. I’m not sure where TC are getting their feedback but it’s most definitely not on the forums.
Were not going to get the support we need anymore as the majority of the TDM community has already gone from when it was initially removed, the others that stuck around turned to the dark side (Koth). I’ve really tried to force myself into liking gridiron but even that I don’t fully enjoy. FFA is dead because all of the solo players flood themselves into team modes then cry about stacks. Time to give up.

I liked it at first but once you get higher ranked you’re at the mercy of the randoms…

Lol yeah you’re right I can’t get master in TDM now. I have a life, so I don’t have time to grind out video games. That’s all this rank system is — a grind.

I would like TC to answer this simple question in a stream.
“Why can’t you play as a team in team death match.”
Then I will understand there logic going forward to whether I’m going too play the game anymore.

They will just say to stop camping but they never play tdm they just read feedback and change it,
They need to learn that on tdm you need ur full squad communicating to win games it’s been like that since gears 5 release you can’t win a game with half a team talking i don’t know how they haven’t realised that.
