We are stakeholders, we are people with a vested interest in this product and ultimately the people who will line their pockets haha. Theres no one more important to this game right now than its community. To neglect it is a really silly move.
That’s not how software development works.
The users of Facebook are not the stakeholders. The users are the product. The owners of Facebook common stock are the stakeholders. The companies who buy data from Facebook are the customers of Facebook.
If you want to hold onto the notion that the Gears gaming community are the stakeholders, I can’t stop you from ignoring reality.
I’m just looking at it from a project management perspective where stakeholders are anyone with a vested interest in the output with varying power/interest which if managed correctly can aid success. Fair play if software development is different but I’d assume there would be some similarities. Your not referring to shareholders are you?
I was in a game with Octus and someone else during one of the test events in Gears 4, first time I seen the Blood Imago.
He was MVP on the losing team though.
This TC guy seems pretty cool, wonder what his thoughts are on GoW5?

I don’t know man I guess they like Gears 5 , I still don’t fully like it as 4 or 3 hahahahaha
Sometimes you guys Need to accept the truth. Game is dead, just leave it. They don‘t care about you. We should all stop playing Gears After 3. RIP Gears of ,War‘‘. Execution on Mausoleum(good old times) was beautiful now tdm on bunker is mehhhh
Does TC person have a YT channel, maybe a few montages I could watch?
Are they a voice in the community Daniel-San?
Well that’s a weak way to lay down and accept death.
I see his point tho
Sometimes losing players is the only way a dev relents on being stubborn and actually starts to listen.
Well yes but no.
He seems to be more giving up, than actively boycotting and striking the game in order to achieve change.
TC actually communicates on almost a daily basis.
Twitter is their main platform for communicating to fans. If you are a fan of the game, follow them on Twitter. Simple. They also host weekly dev streams that go into detail on everything Gears, and they typically last over an hour. They respond directly to community questions.
Devs actively communicating on forums is not very common anymore. Forums/Boards in general are pretty old school. This place is mainly for fans to communicate with each other, but social media is where they make their announcements. What Ryan did was definitely not the norm nor should it be expected.
You may have a point regarding the “old school-ness” of forums over modern social media, but that still doesn’t excuse them not updating the News pages on this website.
Why the hell does Gears5.com even exist as a separate website anyway?
Good point. Shut down the forum, problem solved. Let’s pack up and take our complaints to Twitter where they will be more at home.
Well, the super ironic thing is that Gears5.com routes to HERE when you click on the forums link!
So the unofficial official website of Gears 5 links to the official unofficial place to communicate with the devs
exactly right man
It’s their version of funneling complaints to a junk email that they never look at.
So by that logic the forum is just spam/junk mail
To them, yep
It definitely should be better organized as a whole, I’ll give you that.
There should be a direct link to their Twitter account as well, or something that makes it easy to find.
