I love how people blame TC for just remaking maps over and over and yet so many people constantly ask for remakes over and over.

It depends on the map. I would love to see TC release nothing but new maps, but if they’re going to remake a map, don’t choose from 4 or any map that has been remade a trillion times like Gridlock. Go for one that hasn’t been seen for a long time like any Gears 1-3 maps, or even a map from J at this point.

lolol that’s fair. I will say though for ME I ask for maps that a) have only been in one game and b) are from gears 2 or 1, mayyyybe 3 (trenches.) I’ve pretty consistently been asking for all fathers garden, memorial, and highway.

Peeps want the maps not already remade…ie mansion ect…maybe cause their own maps are bland and they dont seem ■■■■■ in making new ones…unless 1 in 6 months is acceptable :thinking:

You don’t launch this game without 10 minimum flashback maps (the more the better).

Without 10 flashback maps? I don’t want maps I’ve been playing for ten years, I want NEW maps. It’s not insulting to not include ten flashback maps. The “insult” is to launch with only seven maps total, flashback or not.

You couldn’t be anymore mistaken. If you haven’t noticed the same “flash back” maps are in every game from 3 - 5. The worse part is a good majority of those maps are not really that popular. They have plenty of maps to choose from but for some reason they feel like we need a remake 3 times in a row.

It doesn’t hurt. Look at all the different maps people are wishing we had. We could easily have that many flashback maps. In addition to new maps. That would make the game much better on its own.

i guess i’d rather have old maps than no maps, but honestly i’m just so sick of the same maps everybody is always asking for. Like…Raven Down is 0 fun in this game because rifles are so powerful. It was brutal in Gears 4 and will be worse now. I don’t need to play gridlock again. I don’t need to play clocktower again. I don’t need to play checkout again. I’m not excited about having Harbor or Forge coming back. Now if you told me that maps from GoW2 were coming back like Memorial, Highway, Allfathers Garden, Ruins, River (with some reworking, holy spawn camps) Grindyard, or maybe from Gears 3 you get Trenches or Thrashball or Jacinto or Anvil. Those were all good maps, even great maps (all those from GoW2 were incredible) But also, I haven’t played any of those maps in YEARS, so getting Lift or Foundation or Harbor or Dawn or whatever we get from Gears 4 just doesn’t feel fresh.

And I can’t be bothered with all those maps I’ve already played on for hundreds of hours. There is nothing wrong with some staple Gears of War maps (which should be part of at least 15 launch maps like any other normal MP game) but I for one don’t want to see all those remakes whether they are heavily requested or not. Especially if it gets in the way of adding new maps.

Do you know what I want?

  • New maps so it is actually interesting to discover new tactics, new places to bounce and have fun, hectic CQC battles. Obviously some old maps will always be fun to revisit but that shouldn’t be the focus of the addition of maps. And seeing these kind of threads just annoys me, in part because of what I just said and because TC clearly doesn’t have the manpower to do both.

  • A Marcus Fenix Collection similar to The Master Chief Collection which would include: Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a remaster of Gears of War 2’s campaign and Horde 1.0 and Gears of War 3: Ultimate Edition (Campaign, Horde, Beast Mode and Versus including all multiplayer maps from Gears of War 2 and 3 since Gears of War 2’s Versus mode doesn’t need a remaster)

  • A day and night cycle including at least 4 different kinds of weather conditions for multiplayer maps in Gears of War 6.

You had me for a minute, but then you lost me at Blood Drive… easily my least fav map of them all.

I dont hate Lift, but I can understand people’s frustrations with it, especially how slow they are adding maps.

I think if they did 2 or 3 NEW maps everytime an operation launched, then added old maps from 1-4, even as low as 1 a month itd be a better system people would get behind a little better.
