Woof… I finally lost a match in TDM on gears 4 the other day. Drop 97.13% D4 down to D3 50%.
This was the match (by the time i died there were no respawns…

Given the silence of TC as well as its apparent no intention to solve the problem (which before did not have), everything seems to indicate that the intentional sabotage is real.

I just kissed my D5 in koth goodbye as well…
we had the game but a guy fudged the last round and then just quit 1 minute into it.

I hope it continues with gears 6 but with another studio, I’m done with TC you’ve lost my trust

but, but, they said in the dev stream that the horde numbers are BETTER than GoW4’s Horde so they take that to mean people are loving and embracing thenew Horde, haha…
I was a big horde player before I tried Versus in 4 (about 20 days of GoW4 Horde play, half Engie half others), and personally I really dislike this Horde… I like a couple of the new bosses, and I like the mini boss on the 5 waves, but don’t like the other stuff… Playing as Jack is a new experience, so I’m doing that mostly, but every time I try playing as a human character, it’s just… meh…
I’ll keep playing it 2h/week with my IRL universirty buddies, a 10 year old tradition, but that’s about it…
Funny thing, they were VERY OPEN about Horde numbers being better, so clearly they aren’t afraid oto quote numbers… BUT they didn’t say a peep about the Versus numbers, ever, when people keep complaining, so I think it’s safe to assume the Versus numbers aren’t as rosey, relative to GoW4…
So classic TC - using something when it suits them, ignoring it when it doesn’t (tlike hey use Community feedback as justification for changes they want to do, but ignore it when it doesn’t match what they want to do).

This place is more conspiratorial than InfoWars. In all likelihood, any perceived changes to GOW 4 are due to (a) TC streamlining/reducing systems in order to eliminate any maintenance requirements for GOW4 in the future, (b) a ranking system designed to work with thousands of players and data points behaving in unexpected ways because there are now very few players/data points, and (c.) the game no longer being actively monitored/maintained by the devs. The idea that TC employees are pulling levers and pushing buttons to intentionally screw the dozen or so of you who went back to GOW4 is pretty goofy when you really think about it. Real mustache twirling fantasy right there. There are enough accidental malfunctions in TC games that we don’t need to invent audacious conspiracies to explain why an old game they no longer care about is malfunctioning.

Heh I was diamond and even win matches with mvp that dragged me down 40% each match . My friend benn diamond and now is a bronze 
coalition ruined this game starting from blocking eu servers than bugs on choosing maps and now with rankings. Great job !!!

Honestly though, Gears 5 has been out for 2 months now, and up until a little over a week ago, 4’s ranking system worked just fine. And I don’t know about it not working because of low population. I can at times find games faster in 4 than 5. There is still a decent size playerbase. Winning games and constantly de-ranking is not a population bug.
But I guess at the end of the day, it is speculation.
What makes you think it’s a bug at all? Winning and de-ranking appears to be the foundation of TC’s ranking philosophy.

TC its acting as " OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL" in which TC made a wish and it just changes all over Gears 4 in any way they like so they can attract more players to 5.

TC are dumb enough by themselves and screwing things up in normal business hours.
I recall Clevens saying that numbers (in versus) are not where they would like them to be … but they hope to improve that.
That’s about the clearest stat I’ve seen on actual versus numbers.

I did a KOTH on security last night and opponents were spawning right next to me… I mean, literally next to me. And I would spawn in places right next to them too, and just laugh as they tried to shoot me, through spawn protection…
Now, I KNOW security had problems with spawns before, I played KOTH there MAAAAAAAANY times, but last night’s was so extreme, so consistent, that either it was a ridiculous outlier, or something changed…

I admit, I’ll pop into G5 every now and again, play with some friends a game or two, do some horde with other friends, but mostly I have to force myself to try and like it (and mostly fail)… So do I count as a successful player in their stats? Their RAW NUMBERS aren’t what they would like, and how many of those ones they have are like me? Sure, we play, but spent $0 in the store, and really feel no interest or excitement about the game…
I enjoy Coop GoW4 more than any ranked G5 game, game play wise… I only play G5 for social reasons now, and the number of friends still playing it barely above zero now…
