Spending more time here

Alright played a bit today and it was just one of those bad days for gaming period. Something is off. It’s like the game play was tweaked and I have to find that grove. Knifing has gone down but people are still doing it. The pings were all closer together as well which was nice but it felt like the other team always had a connection edge.

Ranked wise it looks like things are going right least on my end. Lots and lots of roadie running today. One guy on asylum blew through three of us with run and pop. Which fine whatever.

I’m gonna play more tomorrow and just see if I can figure out what’s going on.

Small question about a minor thing regarding character skins with features covering aspects of or their entire face(Desert Armor Kait[and other alike skins], Grenadiers/the Warden). Would it be doable to have the option to play those without say, the goggles or the helmet on? However you do that. The various models certainly already exist in Campaign(and Horde/Escape for the Grenadiers/Warden).

Adding Jack as a support class was definitely a win for Gears 5. My only complaint is I’d like you guys to implement the ability for him to a) carry more than one weapon at a time, and b) make him generally magnetize them to himself, instead of having to methodically float over, hold a button, etc.

Sometimes being a good Jack player feels a lot like being a janitor, and these QOL changes would make it a lot less painful to gather up stuff for the Forge.

I dunno why it’s so hard to get an answer to this question lol. I asked and tagged Octus about this like 5 different times on here, Reddit and Twitter and he ignored it as well.

One of your What’s Ups even explicitly says we are supposed to get every skin… yet here we are. Some of us pride ourselves on having every weapon skin from Ranked and that was one of my personal goals for this game.

Interesting. They technically would be separate characters under the hood, but It’s a cool idea. I’ll take it back to the team.

Lol. We wanted exactly the same things. We couldn’t get all the bugs out in time. We have them both
Planned, but we can see about bumping the priority.

I’d get the desert skins without the goggles in heartbeat.
Can’t we chuck it in for like say 500 scrap or 100 iron? I’d pay a quid for that even though its the smallest change

Sweet he was my favorite swarm. Any reason why he never appeared in the campaign for 5? Was he not liked amongst the studio or just from time constraints?

Alright. I don’t really have anything against the goggles but Kait’s face does look nicer when you can actually see her eyes. So having the option to switch between her Desert skin with and without goggles similarly to how it changes between indoor locations and the open world in the Campaign in Vasgar would be nice.

If someone have 4000 ping, then they be playing on a laptop in an airplane. Had one colleague doing that and said he had 4000 ping. Just one way of achieving that amount of ping

I have a question about the achievement ‘Grind Season’… Will the reset have affected this at all? I’ve seen it asked (not here) but I’ve never seen an answer. I don’t want another ‘Sybarite’ situation on my hands. More concerned now due to the multitudes of complaints about not being able to find matches quickly.

Also in regards to Escape. There’s a medal for mastering 10 weekly hives, so will the three initial “past hives” not count? And does “The Hive - Past Hive” fall into the weekly hive as it’s another duplicate of “The Hive” with a different name.

@N0DEZER0 Hey Ryan, sorry to seem like a nag, but any updates on PVE flashbangs getting the same nerf/tuning as PVP? It can get pretty overwhelming at the higher difficulties. Do you know if this is something that will happen sooner rather than later?

On a side note, is there a reported input delay for reloading? I notice every once in a while pressing RB doesn’t register my reload right away, especially after a fresh spawn. It’s like I have to wait a few to lettle it settle then I can press it. Is this a known issue or working as designed?

I’ve noticed one change since TU2 being that Flashbangs no longer seem to have such a ridiculous range in PvE and only blind you for a split second now. Instead of multiple seconds, so you can actually at least see where the heck you’re going now. Just your character remains stunned for a few seconds.

Hmm, is this true? That sounds like the PVP tuning. If that’s the case I’d be really happy! Haven’t had the chance to test myself, but I’m now eager to test this out.

@N0DEZER0 can you confirm if this is true? I didn’t see any mention of this in the TU2 patch notes.

I don’t think it’s 100% the PvP tuning as it stuns you for multiple seconds and not one second but it’s definitely much less of an annoyance now.

Honestly the repeated flash effect is what makes it annoying, not necessarily the stun, so it’s at least good to know that something has been adjusted.
